Clearblue ovulation test - broken?

It’s my first time using an OPK. I’m using the clearblue advanced ones with the flashing/static smiley face. I have used one for the first time ever this morning, on CD11, and got a static smiley face. Can this be right, or could it be broken?

In the instruction leaflet it will tell you what day in your cycle to start testing, sounds like your peak day, so when you get this will mean you're likely to ovulate within the next 24 to 36 hrs.

Thank you for replying. I have started testing on CD11 but think I should have started yesterday. I seem to have a 30-34 day cycle so it seems early

@Bancha no worries, I think a day late to start testing will be OK. Think sometimes can vary from cycle to cycle. It talks about the results in the leaflet, I've rang clear blue to ask them a few questions and they've been helpful.

Could be correct. I had a smiley face on day 9 and conceived.

@Lauraliverpool thanks, I didn’t know you could call them.

@joopy79 thanks that’s helpful to know. We are assuming that the test is right for now and hoping for the best!

@Bancha no worries, yep it's free from a landline.
