Clomid - feeling low

Currently on second round of Clomid 50mg.

First round went really well, had a 19mm follicle on day 11 and sent away to try. We didn’t unfortunately fall pregnant but had a 29 day cycle so pretty confident we ovulated and just unfortunately didn’t catch that time round.

This cycle I went for a scan on day 11 again to only have an 11mm follicle, was asked to go back today on day 14 and that one is still only 12mm, then want me to go back for another scan on Monday which will be day 17 but not looking positive and feeling so disheartened!!!

They said that they’ll likely up my dose to 100mg next cycle is Mondays scan isn’t a positive one but then I worry that it obviously worked well on cycle 1 and if they up if for cycle 3 and it works then it might produce too many leading follicles and they’ll tell me to write that one off.

It’s just all such a long process and Clomid felt like the light at the end of the tunnel and now I’m just feeling so disheartened, did anyone else have an up and down Clomid reaction/journey?!

It's so tough when it's not happening for you. I took a course of Clomoid and it took me five cycles before I conceived. Hope it happens for you soon xx

@Allthegoodnamesweretakenalread Thank you so much for that! That’s what I keep trying to remind myself that I’ve got 6 rounds so don’t worry too much yet! It’s easier said than done while you’re going through it thought isn’t it haha but thanks for sharing really appreciate it xx

Hi, please don't get disheartened x I know it's easy to say and it's so annoying when people say just relax it will happen... and then it doesn't.
I had a few rounds of clomid (50) and it never worked. The doctor said we could go up to 100 but might be more chance of twins but might just need that one round at the higher dose for a boost.
Well we decided to take a break for a couple of months before starting the 100. We went camping with our older DS (age 4) and I was drinking wine and just resigned to the fact it prob would never happen so might as well have a good time.
But then got back home and found out we were pregnant!
My little clomid DS is now 10!
Sending positive thoughts for you x Thanks
