Hello
I know this will be a really silly question but I read on these threads people are so many dpo, but how do you know when you are no longer ovulating?
Thanks in advance x

temping with a BBT thermometer

You can use ovulation prediction tests. You will get a positive or strong line. You will then ovulate 24-36 hours after you get the strong line on the tests.

You can track your temperature. You do this from the first day of your period and do it at the same time every day. You will get a rise in temperature that is sustained after you ovulate. If you combine ovulation prediction kits with taking your temperature, you will get a strong line on your test, then a rise in temperature the next morning or morning after.

However, there are signs that your body is about to ovulate and you can check these. Google these as there’s quite a few and some are easier to spot in your body than others. When you get used to what signs to look out for in your body, you might notice others signs that aren’t listed. You can rely on your body signs rather than temping or using tests, especially if you’re pretty regular.

Add the app fertility friend. Track your temp for the entire cycle and add it to the app. It’s really easy and loads of advice on there.

Thank you so much everyone, really great advice thank you
.
I have a BBT thermometer so will start using that and will do more research too.

I use OPK, I saw a positive result at 09.30pm on 14th June so I'd say I am approx. 38hrs passed then... so would you say ive probably ovulated now? Did another opk this morning and it was negative..

Does opk now being negative mean ovulation has passed?

Sorry for all questions you can read stuff online but I really value your advice xx

@JScarlett negative after positive means you've likely had your surge. However, a positive opk doesn't indicate that you will ovulate, just that you are likely to. You may well have ovulated now or are on the brink. If it were me, I'd go for one last hurrah 😂.

JScarlett · 16/07/2021 15:16

@chanel05 haha thanks for the advice 😄😂 won't be able to tonight so maybe one last hurrah tomorrow. Might be too late mind but trying to not get stressed and over thinking about it

Clearblue ovulation tests. Not cheap but worked perfectly for me first time, twice Smile
