AF due today.
Ttc for 7 months.
Just tested now so obviously not fmu but I swear there is a faint line. DH thinks he sees it.
Am I crazy?
I'll test again in the morning.

I've started spotting so I think AF is coming. I really thought this was it. We've never even had a hint of a line before but this is the first time I've used clearblue.

DH thought he was going to be able to dodge the sperm analysis but it's back on now! I'll be chasing him round the house with the little pot

Ach, I remember it well. Months of trying followed by 6 months of Clomid and a low sperm count for us - it’s not easy at all. I really feel for you.

This was mine the morning we set off on holiday. DP also called me mental for thinking there was a line. So he asked me to pick up a digital on the way and that’s he only sure way he’ll believe it is if he sees the words ‘pregnant’

The faint line meant nothing. AF arrived today.

I'm struggling to accept why it's not happening for us. We're doing everything we should be. There's no reason at the minute why we can't get pregnant. I'd like to have a reason so that I can focus on fixing it but at the minute it's just down to 'luck' or 'time' and 'it will happen eventually'.
All I see on fucking Facebook is targeted ads for baby stuff so I can sit there looking at all the nice things I can buy for the baby that isn't coming.

I realise lots of couples have been trying for a lot longer than we have and it could be worse but I just needed to vent.

Vent away - ttc can be really shit .

Have you spoken to your GP or is it too early? I remember it was a year of trying for us before the GP would refer us but I was diagnosed with PCOS in that time so got referred a bit quicker. It felt like a very long time though.

@MaMelon yes because I'm 36 it's only 6 months ttc before the gp will help.
I've had my day 21 bloods and they are normal. Going for my day 2-4 bloods on Tuesday. DH needs to do the semen analysis so hopefully he'll do that this week.
Once they are all done then we can see if we can do anything that will help.

It’s a really rubbish time OP. I know how you feel, almost like you can’t complain because others ‘have it worse’ - it took us 7 months with DD when I was 21.. I’m 25 now and it’s taken another 7 months to conceive this time. - in retrospect it’s not very long; but we’re conditioned to think that unprotected sex results in pregnancy. Period. We’re not taught that it is completely normal to take up to 12 months for a healthy couple or conceive, we’re not taught that there’s a 20% chance of conceiving once a month. We don’t realise any of this until we start getting down to business and wondering what’s wrong with ourselves.

The thing I hate the most is the “just don’t think about it and it will happen” - people who say that need a scooter to the ankle.

If I had a pound for everytime someone said this. How can you not think about it?
Fair enough don't get obsessed about it which we're trying not to, but you can't not think about it!
We've stopped using opks and apps so there is less pressure but I know when I'm ovulating so I can't ignore it!

I know . I think people just want to say something positive and don't know quite what to say, so they end up saying one of the worst things someone who's trying to conceive wants to hear. It's all a bit rubbish. Hope it all goes well this week for both tests
