Hello,
I'm 25, and was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago.
My husband and I have been trying to conceive since December however I've only had one period in that time. Which was January... I had a GP appointment in May who referred me to hospital for an ultrasound after 3 FALSE positive pregnancy tests.
Ultrasound came back with fibroids, elarged ovary and of course the PCOS.

I saw the gp again today, who has now sent off a referral to Gynaecology department. And said that she will be requesting that they prescribe me Metformin or Clomithine?

I started taking over the counter Myoinositol today as I'd read alot about it online. And wondering if there are any other ladies on here that take myo?
Who take Metformin or any other medication? Have we any success stories to share?

I just want to be able kick start my menstrual cycles and start ovulating again.

Thank you.

I can’t help with the conception side of things too much, but I take myo- and d-chiro inositol in 40:1 ratio (Time Health brand), and it’s been amazing for other PCOS symptoms e.g. hair loss. When we decided to try for a baby five years ago, I was pessimistic about my chances of conceiving, so along with Metformin (which Id been on for years and am desperate to go back on now!), I paid to have weekly reflexology, which was amazing at shortening and regulating my cycles, which made it easier to know when I was ovulating etc etc and we conceived easily. HOWEVER that’s just my experience. I think inositol is awesome, basically, but I wasn’t on it back then. HTH!

Thank you so much for your response. I'm definitely going to stay on the myo inositol then and see how it goes whilst I wait for my referrals.

I'll take a look into reflexology I haven't actually heard of it before. Be interested to have a read up on that. So thank you xxx
