Referrals for recurrent miscarriage

Hi,
I've just started losing an early pregnancy this morning. It's under 5 weeks so it's classed as a chemical pregnancy. I also lost an early twin pregnancy (approx 6.5 weeks) this year. At the time, the midwife told me that each of the twin losses had no bearing on the other, and that it was basically double bad luck.
I am going to call the EPAU today but I wondered whether anyone thinks this is likely to qualify for support as recurrent miscarriage.
I have lost three babies in a row. I am feeling upset because I am expecting they will say it doesn't count. Does a chemical pregnancy also count as miscarriage?

They counted my CP. I was surprised as I thought they would have wanted to see some evidence before referral (I kept the positive tests just in case).

@Emmerina I have been referred 2 weeks ago, I counted a CP in there, a loss is a loss and to be honest i didn't want to have to go through another loss to be honest! Good luck, the EPU did my refferal and they have been fantastic

@Emmerina sorry you are having a rubbish time.

I had an early loss at just over 5 weeks in February and then got pregnant straight away the month after with twins but unfortunately had a MMC at 10 weeks.

When I went into hospital for my procedure I asked the consultant about getting a referral and she said I'd have to have another miscarriage first even though technically I'd lost 3 babies in the space of 3 months.

I think the whole thing is so unfair but you may have more success than me in getting a referral sooner if you try as it could depend on area and who you speak to.

I lost 5 before a referral was done.
Sorry for your loss. 💐

Thanks all so much for your replies.
I called EPAU and there is a consultant who is willing to accept a referral, though they said this isn't normal practice. I think they have made an exception because my twin miscarriage took so long to be managed (around 2months and a number of interventions, eventually hysteroscopy). They have said the wait is up to 6months currently though. Did any of you have success while waiting for a referral? I think I still want to continue trying in the meantime even though it may lead to a lot of heartache xx

@Emmerina gosh 6 months! My GP has just agreed to do a referral for me as I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle so that's 3 losses in 7 months.

I was hoping the wait time might be more like 6 weeks!!

Fingers crossed that isn't the norm! I think I will look into paying for a private appointment if it's six months. I know it's an expensive privilege but I don't know I can wait as long as that
