I caught chlamidya in Ibizia when i was 19. I'm 27 now and married and trying for a 2nd child which doesnt seem to be happening after a year. could my past have something to do with it? as far as i know I was treated quickly and have had no effects since.

If you were given antibiotics to treat Chlamydia at the time - then it should not affect things now.
Chlamydia only damages fertility if it is left untreated for a long period of time.

if you have had a child already, and you were treated for the clamydia, it is highly unlikel it is responsible for stopping you getting pregnant. secondary infertility is surprisingly common, are you doing anything to keep an eye on your cycle to make sure you are having sex the right time?

I had Chlamdya when i was 20 which resulted in PID which really messed me about for a couple of years with pain and dodgy periods etc, i was told at the time that i had scarrign on my tubes and may need IVF to concieve because of this. I convieved at 21 which resulted in a MC, again at 23 wich was MC again and then finally at 24 i caught with my Daughter who's now almost 3.. We have been trying for a 2nd for 18 months with no luck and like you i was concerned that it may have been down to the PID, My Gp said it's unlikely though, He said that unless i had had another infection since ( which i haven't, i've been checked ) my Tubes wont be any more damaged and as i've managed to concieve and have a embryo implant in the right place 3 times i shouldnt worry about it any more.

If you were treated promplty i's unlikely tobe the cause as you've got pregnant once

Good luck TTC x
