BFP but feel like AF is coming?

I got a BFP today at 11DPO and this afternoon it feels like AF is coming. Cramping in my lower left side!! Is this normal?

It can be. I didn’t test straight away because I had cramps and thought my period was coming. I had pretty much constant cramps until about 9 weeks. Everything was fine at my 12 week scan.

I had just the same thing, and before I got my BFP I was convinced it wasn't my month and felt like AF was coming. I'm now just coming up to 8 weeks and so far so good.

I had this with my first pregnancy. Didn't bother testing until I was a week late as I was so sure af was coming. I asked the doctor about it and he explained it was normal as the pregnancy hormones are still rising and are enough to stop you starting your period but are sometimes not quite high enough to override your usual cramps etc
