Don’t know what this means?

This is my first cycle ttc and according to my flo app I am 5dpo, but I’ve only had one period since coming of the pill so don’t know how accurate that is. I came off the pill 2 months ago and we started trying straight away.
I have been having pains like cramp on one side and really sore boobs, also needing to pee a lot! So I took a clear blue test this morning and it had a really faint line within the 3 minutes, the line has since went darker but I don’t know what to think as should only be 5dpo?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!! Thanks

This could well be positive however 5 dpo is too soon I've been stung with these tests before i recommend getting a first response pink test good luck x

Hmmm it looks positive to me. Especially as it came up within the time frame. It does look thin though but I'm not sure if that means anything. I'm not sure if you can even get a positive test at 5dpo so many you're further along than you think? I hope it's positive!

Thanks for your replies, I’m so impatient and just want to know! But will try wait a few days and test again with pink dye.

What mlu does it test from early tests are usually 10 mlu and rest are usually 25mlu so if your testing early it might not show up x

Whatido · 12/07/2021 14:18

It says 10mlu but it was the ones 20 for £2 so don’t know how accurate?

I'm not sure if that's just an evap because I had one similar although in real life it's blue not grey like it's come up on the photo. I was a bit of POAS addicted so I've had to zoom it right in to hide the 30 other pregnancy tests I took. But I'm not sure if that one was one of the tests I did to confirm my miscarriage or if it was one I took right at the start. Although my lines were very prominent right from the day I tested so I'm guessing it wasn't. I haven't had chance to read it properly. How many DPO are you?

Ah just seen 5dpo. IMO that's way too early to test. Wait until you've missed your period a week and then test again. Otherwise you'll just end up torturing yourself by convincing yourself there's a second line. If I can remember rightly I think I was around 18dpo when I first tested. Although I'd had a feeling for a good couple of weeks before from how ill I felt. I've also tested too early and got a barely there line then ended up having a couple of chemicals as well

Whatido · 12/07/2021 17:03

Thank you, now wishing I hadn’t tested so early!

@Whatido I have seen women test early and go on to get a BFP. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! In all fairness though testing after I'd missed my period and testing around a week or so after TTC makes no difference to me and I would rather find out early even if it did result in another chemical, but that's mainly so I can be put on easier calls at work that don't involve any moving and handling. I've had the faint lines, no symptoms and miscarried a few days later and I've also had super strong lines, lots of symptoms and still gone on to miscarry when the Baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. It was only by chance that I'd had early scans done because of my previous losses that I found out I was going to miscarry that time. One thing I've never been able to understand though is how an embryo can continue to grow without a heartbeat. At no point during any of my scans was there a heartbeat yet we had a slow yet continued growth.

I'm more inclined to say a evap line as the line is too thin. It's width should be the same as the control line xx
