Hey!
We've been ttc for almost 4 years with 1 mc 2 years in.
I got a positive on Thursday extremely faint at 9dpo, and it's getting darker each day - I'm 12dpo now.
After my mc last year I'm terrified!

Does this look ok for 12dpo? Show me your lines too!

Thanks!

It's good it's getting darker, but yes I would expect it to be stronger by now. Are you testing with first morning wee?
Here are mine for comparison

Thanks for your reply @wavecatcher yours are so strong!

I am yes but I got my first positive at 9dpo on a 2 hour hold in the evening, so I think I'm going to do my last one tomorrow evening.
I'm getting lines on all my cheapies too - I just hope it sticks 🤍

That's not much hold at all mine where all overnight 7 hours holds roughly. Try testing with first morning wee.
Pepperlypue · 11/07/2021 15:35

I have - every test except 9dpo has been FMU and all positive.

This is the progress between 10 & 12 - if I focus on that there's a definite progress which is good!

Trying not to get too worried about lines.

Oh it's definitely positive however don't try to focus on lines too much can be from fluid intake etc everyone's different I've had dye stealer tests and miscarried lines don't mean anything really as long as there not getting fainter good luck to you and hopefully a sticky bean xx

H8theW8 · 11/07/2021 18:23

This is my line progression (I'm 14dpo today) but everyone's HCG starts at different levels. Sorry to hear about your losses and best of luck for this pregnancy! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months x

Hi! Hope you don't mind me jumping on the end of this post, but I'm currently 2 days late for my period and I got this result this morning? I'm too scared to get excited after a previous miscarriage about 6 months ago. Do you think this is a positive result? Shouldn't the line be bit more darker by now?

Looks positive to me however I've had lines in these before and I've not been I would get a first response test x
Pepperlypue · 12/07/2021 11:58

@AJL1985 I think that's positive. I'd confirm with a pink dye frer x

Thanks! I've got some first response tests coming but they won't be here until tomorrow, so I guess that's going to be a Wednesday am test.....I'm so impatient!!! Just want it to be positive so much x

If your 2 days late you can test any time of the day x
Pepperlypue · 12/07/2021 20:15

@AJL1985 as above! I test better in the evening so maybe hold for a few hours tomorrow and test at tea time x

Oh this topic came up just as I posted my similar question!
Here is my 12DPO PT which I am also worried is too faint considering my period is due in 3 days.
It's very similar to yours.
How is your testing progressing lovely?

Pepperlypue · 12/07/2021 21:16

@NZmum40 this is my 13dpo evening test (2 hour hold)
The frer is definitely getting darker jusr slower than I'd like.
I've also had some dark spotting which I'm concerned about but trying to remain positive as my test is definitely darker in person.

how're you feeling? X

Hi @Pepperlypue

Did you mean to attach a photo? There's none there and I would love to see it.

I'll definitely be testing again later this afternoon as that is when I seem to get a stronger result too.

I'm feeling ok...it's just a shame that the usual excitement is tinged with trepidation.
I am dying to tell my fiancé this evening but also would rather have two BOLD lines to show him first.
(This will be his first baby and my 2nd)

Have you shared your news with anyone yet?

Sorry to hear of the spotting...fingers crossed it disappears soon and you can breath easy

Pepperlypue · 13/07/2021 09:11

Whoops! 🤦🏻‍♀️ @NZmum40 sorry! Totally forgot to add haha.
I've tested again this morning too and it's darker again.

Thank you I hope it stops soon too.

I told my husband last night - I've known since Thursday and was gonna explode haha he was in shock after almost 4 years but very excited!

Did you test last night x

Oh that looks like good progression @Pepperlypue

I haven't tested again yet, I'm still on 12DPO over here in nz (about to go to sleep) so will definitely be testing when I wake up (13DPO)
Im hoping mine has darkened up like yours however I've also done ALOT of reading of old Mumsnet threads about line progression and have been reassured by a lot of what ive learnt.
A line is a line basically, don't worry so much about progression / everyone has different levels of hcg etc...
So I'm going to stop comparing my paler lines with someone else's dark 8DPO lines!

I'm going to tell my fiancé tomorrow night over dinner.

I can't even imagine how good it must feel after 4 years of trying...so precious!

Pepperlypue · 13/07/2021 12:40

@NZmum40 defo stop comparing - I've really struggled not to tbh but as long as my lines are progressing every 2/3 days I feel ok about it and so should you!

How exciting you're telling him tonight - good luck with it! Xx

NZmum40 · 13/07/2021 19:05

Ughhh well my line this morning isn't what I was hoping to see. I cried waiting for it to darken up 😢
It is probably around the same as yesterday's line which I KNOW can be fine but my mind and heart would feel a lot better if I was darker.

So basically everything I've said in my earlier post about being relaxed about it has gone out the window haha

Period is due in 2 days so that will be the clincher.

RoseAndGeranium · 13/07/2021 19:47

Try not to worry, OP! If you follow this link you’ll find an article about spotting in pregnancy. The reason I’m posting it is that if you scroll down you’ll find a table showing the ranges by week for hcg levels in normal pregnancies. As you’ll see, they are wiiiiide. So there’s potentially going to be quite a bit of variation just because of that between different women’s tests. And then as PP have said there are other factors including urine concentration that can affect it.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.

NZmum40 · 13/07/2021 20:28

@RoseAndGeranium thank you 🙏🏼
I am turning into a neurotic woman and I don't like it...that was a good article to read and definitely shows the huge variety in hcg range.

Pepperlypue · 13/07/2021 21:16

Thanks @RoseAndGeranium I'll give it a read! X
