Hey everyone.
So, I thought I ovulated last week I got a nice peak on the 4th July (cd18) with small amounts of ewcm leading up to this day and a large amount on that day.
The following day the ewcm increased and has been present everyday since Monday, sometimes having really large amounts. If I I hadn’t of got the peak on Sunday I’d be thinking I’m still gearing up to ovulate.
I had two small bits of spotting yesterday followed by increasing amounts of ewcm. I did an opk just to check and it gave me a high reading so I got quite upset wondering what’s going on with my body, but then took another one and it was low.

This brings us today, I’ve woken up feeling really nauseous and on occasions quite dizzy. The CM is still quite large amounts but has changed to a creamy appearance. I’ve never really had this much CM before.

I don’t think I ovulated before as opks didn’t suggest this. But if the ewcm is trying to gear up for ovulation the opks aren’t really showing this either. So I don’t know what to think.
I’m just confused and frustrated. I’ve been ovulating late for the past year (usually over day 23-32) so I was chuffed to of got a peak on day 18. But now I’m not sure what to think.
Thanks in advance xx

If you typically have long cycles with multiple attempts at ovulation, then you likely wont be able to trust OPKs Im afraid (Im in this boat too!). Your best bet is temping to confirm when you actually do ovulate x

Thanks for your response. I haven’t had a false surge in a good few months and even then I only receive ‘high’ results. Whenever I’ve received a peak it’s usually been the peak itself. Yes very true, I just haven’t due to working shifts and being all over the place with work. Sorry you’re also in this boat!

Thanks @Plm28 - it sucks doesnt it? I think we have actually missed my true ovulation this month, which is super annoying.

The other option for loads of creamy CM plus LH increase is pregnancy... just saying

You have my sympathy, it’s the most frustrating part of this whole journey. Long and irregular ovulation just suck. Have you been investigated to find out a cause?

Ofc this has been a thought but I’m pretty sure I haven’t ovulated before day 18, and if that’s the case I’d only be 5 or 6dpo xx

@Plm28 unfortunately they are unwilling to look at it until after a year of trying, even though there is clearly something off. We have actually been trying for 1.5 years but because I previously conceived (lost at 12 weeks) the clock starts over from then (dec 2020). Im on the verge of going private

That’s incredibly frustrating and I’m sorry for your loss. It’s so wrong that there’s this year you have to wait even if something is quite clearly not right.

@Plm28 I have to say my though like @TheDaydreamBelievers was could you be pregnant? Is it possible you ovulated before CD18? You could perhaps do a cheap hcg test if you have any?

I had a slight surge on day 15 but no peak until 18, perhaps the peak came after ovulation. I’ve done another opk tonight and it’s getting even darker.
