How long after ovulation do you test x

How long after ovulation do YOU personally start pregnancy testing? I am 2DPO on my first cycle TTC and am just wondering.

Also do you drink in the TWW? I have read that drinking in the TWW won't affect baby as there isn't a placenta yet??

I started testing at 7DPO even though I knew it was too early to detect anything. It stopped me thinking 'what if' all day.
I'm now 10DPO and still testing each morning but when I look back at my last pregnancy (MMC sadly) I didn't get a positive until 14DPO.

I had my DC a long time ago. I waited until I was a few days late to test, because back then tests were expensive and not so accurate. This modern fad of testing early must cause so much anxiety, I really don't understand why you'd put yourself through it.

As for drinking, of course not! Why on earth would you?

I am today at 7 DPO and tested with FIrst response but it was negative. @Paigef98 did you test? What was the results ?!
