Cd9 too early?

Is cd9 too early to ovulate? My period was actually four days late this month (and a minimum amount super short/light) so if I count from when it SHOULD have come then I'm cd13 ovulation. It's been positive opk all week though but mega peak today.

Should I be concerned?

Have you taken a HPT?

magpiecounter · 10/07/2021 21:59

@lawandgin no I haven't. We do ivf to have babies and we haven't done any this year since losing the baby at Christmas

Also my period was insanely painful and scary feeling like my miscarriage but not much blood at all.

I always ovulate around day 8/9. It's just how my cycle works. As soon as I realised, I got pregnant almost immediately every time we decided to try.

Interesting 🤔 we have been ttc for six years without joy. Five rounds of ICSI and I only made it to 10 weeks

I'd second taking a pregnancy test. Implantation can cause cramps and light bleeding (though not insane pain). When you say positive opks all week, do you mean darker than the control line? If so, I don't think that's normal?

magpiecounter · 10/07/2021 22:59

@NannyPear it would be late for implantation as it was four days after my period was due. Also impossible as we didn't do any ivf recently. They were sharp pains rather than the dull ache I usually have with my period. That's why I likened it to my miscarriage rather than anything else. They were gone after that afternoon on the Wednesday and my period started the following day but only lasted about 2/3 days compared to 6 days. Now it's just a dull ache like I've strained something.

They've all been positive or peak tests. Going back to to the start of my weird period. I've done one a day since the 2nd July

Very confusing then! In terms of opks I would class a positive as the test line being darker than the control, which not all of those are. Regardless, it's odd to have so many positives dotted around, especially at the start of your cycle. Unfortunately I don't know why that would be and I'm not medical at all but I have heard that this is possible with PCOS. Don't know if this would be likely for you? Hope you get some clarity soon

@NannyPear some have been in the bathroom 🤣 I do them on a night when I'm sneaking to bed after putting my son to bed so they get left sometimes.

I don't have PCOS as far as my testing has gone over the last few years. They seemed satisfied that there was no reason I couldn't conceive and my collections were all normal and monitored showing textbook control. I had a cyst once after a year of clomid but within three weeks of cider vinegar it was gone again never to be seen. I've spent the last two years having regular scans every two weeks (except March-July last year for covid) and they've never seen anything untoward. They're quite strict on it too and won't transfer an embryo if there's anything else happening.

I'm going to keep testing. Even tonight I did two 30mins apart and it was a super light test/positive after only half hour of gulping water. 🤦🏼‍♀️ it's an enigma. I'm going to ask my clinic if it's the vaccine I think.

For reference these are all my other months since the baby died- maybe this is my new cycle as I've never had such a high peak 🤷🏻‍♀️

During January I still had positive hpt as well as I didn't show a negative till February- a month after losing the baby.
