Oh come ON if your coming...period or implantation bleed

Hello,

I'm 10PDO and was really hopeful this month but yesterday I woke up with back ache and brown blood/ CM when I wiped- so I assume AF Sad

Now the ache has stopped, boobs a bit tender, and the bleeding hasn't intensified, still just brown and there when I wipe but nothing on a liner. Normally by this stage I'd be in full AF mode.

I'm trying not to be too hopeful that it's implantation but I can't help it and I feel like my body is playing tricks on me. It's just cruel how symptoms overlap so much there's barely any point trying to interpret them. Arrghh, just come on if you're coming!

Anyone in the same boat?

Hey OP
I’m in a similar boat, I’m 13DPO. AF due tomorrow, I had some brown/red CM on Monday when I wiped but since then nothing. Usually I get this and then it stays until AF has actually arrived but I’ve only had it once.

I agree the overlapping symptoms are torture!! It feels like my mind is playing games on me every month.

JuneySunshine · 07/07/2021 12:02

Hi @Dolores25 let's go mad together!

It's horrible it's it and one of those only time will tell things. But normally Day 2 of my AF is my heaviest day so there's definitely something odd going on. That's a big pause for you too-

Are you just going to wait it out or could you test at some point?

OP posts:
Dolores25 · 07/07/2021 12:06

I was going to test today but stupidly bought the normal tests instead of the ones you can use early (you’d think I’d know which were which after 7 months of trying Hmm) so I am now waiting until Friday, if AF doesn’t come tomorrow I’ll be officially ‘late’ then.

What about you, are you going to test?

JuneySunshine · 07/07/2021 12:20

Oh no! That's annoying- Friday seems like a good shout.

I want to know by the weekend for drinking reasons Smile so if it doesn't intensify today I might test tomorrow a.m. as travelling Friday. Need to buy a FRER though as a bit behind you.
It's just stressful when you decide one thing has happened, and then there's uncertainty- feel like I'm constantly planning and re-planning what's best to do to least stress and disappoint myself but then still being stressed and disappointed!

rose88xx · 07/07/2021 12:31

I'm jumping in here! I had psyched myself up for testing today (14DPO) but then had my AF arrive on Sunday, which was disappointing but I didn't think much of it.

But weirdly it completely stopped by Monday afternoon, and have had no bleeding since. It was early (10/11DPO) so now i'm completely confused as to whats going on!

JuneySunshine · 07/07/2021 12:38

Hi @rose88xx

That's odd. That's where I am too, in that if it is AF it really has started early and it made me feel a bit worried about my LP being short- but just shrugged it off as an odd cycle.

Are you planning to test now? Or wait and see if it starts up again?

I can't believe the complexity of all this. Before TTC I thought it would be do obvious, no AF, no blood for the next 9 months. Now being on here it just seems complete chaos and different for everyone!

rose88xx · 07/07/2021 12:44

Hi @JuneySunshine

Same - I totally thought arrival of AF meant I was out of the game! I am having fertility treatment for PCOS so had to let my clinic know, and they said I still had to do a test which completely threw me. It was negative yesterday, but that was still only 13DPO so they've told me to test again tomorrow.

The bleeding was pretty heavy so I am certain I can't be pregnant, but am now worried that the short luteal phase and the short AF might mean there are other problems. I see a fertility counsellor and she thinks it sounds like a chemical given the weird timing and heavy flow.

JuneySunshine · 07/07/2021 12:58

@rose88xx Oh I see. In a sense it's good to have someone monitoring and they might be able to shed some light. But also difficult if you feel its more about your cycle than a pending BFP. Keep me updated Smile

I told my OH AF had arrived and had a sulk yesterday and now just sat here knicker-watching- haven't told him about these doubts because there's no point two of us deliberating over what's probably a slow starting AF! So ridiculous.

OP posts:
rose88xx · 07/07/2021 13:09

@JuneySunshine I am optimistic for you if you still haven't started 'properly' bleeding! I try to avoid telling my OH my various theories as he usually thinks i'm crazy, but it's so hard not to analyse every little symptom when it's happening to your body!

I don't normally ovulate, so have no idea about LP length usually - hoping this isn't another hurdle to overcome. I am stupidly holding out some hope for my re-test tomorrow, but at least I will know for certain and can move on if it's still negative. Fingers crossed for your test tomorrow too!

JuneySunshine · 07/07/2021 14:43

Thanks @rose88xx it's the hope that gets you!

Still nothing here. Just thought- this is first month taking Pregnacare vitamins, so there's a chance that's messing with my cycle as I've read it has with others. Speculation never ends!

Dolores25 · 08/07/2021 11:38

@JuneySunshine when I first started taking the pre conceptions ones they made my cycles so much longer than usual. They did eventually sort themselves back out though.

I caved and tested today BFN. But no signs of AF which is due today. I’m also feeling quite nauseous, but I don’t even know if it’s too early for that and it could be something else. Very confusing.

JuneySunshine · 08/07/2021 11:46

Hi @Dolores25

Sorry about the BFN Sad it sounded like you didn't buy a supersensetive test so worth trying again if AF doesn't show?

I tested this morning (£1 FRER) and I saw a line! V Faint and took nearly the whole 5 minutes to show. Trying to stay calm, and have another test the same I'll do on Saturday morning.
Also a bit nauseous and feel pressure behind my eyes Hmm

OP posts:
Dolores25 · 08/07/2021 11:58

Yes I think I’m going to go and get a more sensitive test this afternoon and try again tomorrow if AF still hasn’t shown up.

That’s amazing, a faint line a very good sign!! Please update me on Saturday when you test again, fingers crossed for you.
Do you mind me asking which test you have used/where it’s from?

JuneySunshine · 08/07/2021 12:05

Thank you 😊

This was the brand of my Early Response from the local pharmacy. As I said only £1 but it says 6 days early detection.
I've seen on here that the ones with pink dye are clearer than the ones with blue. Last time I bought from Sainsburys but there was nothing under £8 there.

Oh come ON if your coming...period or implantation bleed

unicornpower · 08/07/2021 12:15

@JuneySunshine Just hopping on to wish you luck! I had brown spotting for about 9 days on and off after I got my BFP and then had some pink and even some red! I'm 29 weeks now and i think the spotting went away completely at 8 weeks :) fingers crossed for you love!

unicornpower · 08/07/2021 12:24

Also, i don't know if this is useful but i had the babyplan early detection pregnancy tests, they are the same pretty much as a FRER but they are like £12 for 5 tests and they were great! you can get them off amazon and i honestly swear by them!

JuneySunshine · 08/07/2021 12:31

Thanks @unicornpower that's so nice to hear, and congratulations Flowers

OP posts:
Dolores25 · 08/07/2021 12:40

@unicornpower ah thank you I’ll have a look for them now. And congratulations!!

@JuneySunshine I used the clear blue one 🙈 I’ll try the pink dye ones. I’m thinking I might go and get them now , I am so impatient. How do we do the tww every month 😂

JuneySunshine · 11/07/2021 00:05

Hi @Dolores25

How have you got on?

I did another test with FMU this morning and it was positive again. The line wasnt particularly darker than Thursday but a bit thicker. I'm taking it as a cautious positive but might test again next weekend with a digital, hopefully get that definitive BFP.

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 25/07/2021 18:50

Hi ladies... same boat here. How did you get on @JuneySunshine ? 🥰

JuneySunshine · 25/07/2021 22:11

Hi @xoJellyBean
I'm 6 weeks pregnant!

So my timeline was;
Saturday- positive OPK and dtd
Following Tuesday- aching and thought it was AF, then nothing
That Thursday- BFP FRER
That Saturday- another BFP FRER
Next Saturday- Positive digital test

So definitely a case of implantation bleeding with a real AF like ache.
How many days DPO are you?

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 26/07/2021 11:22

@JuneySunshine amazing! Congrats :) I'm unsure of DPO as I was not tracking this month of course lol had brown spotting since Friday and then this morning a little more red blood! Really hoping my result is the same as you 🤞🏻

JuneySunshine · 26/07/2021 13:01

@xoJellyBean Fingers crossed for you. Tricky to know when to test in that situation I suppose. Probably the longer you can wait the better as nothing worse than an inconclusive result...
