Ivf 43 chances/ advice

Hi there, im new here. ive read that after 43 your chances of ivf success are really low. Ive just turned 43 and had started our ivf journey , but just before my 1st cycle was due to start, my partner and i conceived naturally ( amazing!) but unfortunately I had a miscarriage in march. My AMH levels arent terrible for my age ( 8) ..does anyone know if my ivf chances are still really low due to me being 43 even though my AMH levels aren t too bad? I feel im standing at the last chance saloon and not sure whereto go. We are due to start our 1st ivf cycle in a week or so and suppose im just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation to me. Thankyou.

Hi there I'd like to follow your journey if that's ok. I'm 43 also I had a miscarriage just after my 42nd birthday and have been trying ever since with nothing happening. Am worried that this is it that was the last chance for me.
I have had my AMH levels checked too yours is higher than mine. Mine was 4.9. I want to start IVF but my husband point blank refuses think he's not overly keen for another baby. We have 2 children already but the longing for another is very very strong I have tried to ignore it but the longing just won't go away.
I had an initial IVF consultion and was told that my odds were 5% chance of conceiving via IVF. I feel like my eggs are done it's really upsetting when you are trying everything you can but nothing happens.
Can I ask what meds to they start you on to prep for IVF?

Hi Abihoping, I will be starting my second cycle when I’m just 43. How did yours go?

I'm not sure if this is helpful but I'm also 43 and I have just had my 7th stim round that failed. 1 of the rounds was badly managed so had no chance of success and I had a D & C in the middle of my last round so that had zero chance of working. I know people who have had IVF success at 43 but it's not looking too good for me.

Hi everyone I just had a pregnancy but it ended at 10 weeks and 5 days. This was a natural conception. I had a d&c last weekend it's been really really rough. I know that this was my last chance it's so sad. The only chance for our age I think is donor eggs but I may be wrong
