Molor Pregnancy

I am currently going through test with the Charing Cross hospital for a molor pregnancy which I’m starting this week. I’ve had 2 D&C’s to remove tissue. Me and my partner slept together the day after the second surgery and a couple days later(before we knew the seriousness of molor pregnancy and that we shouldn’t have done it). Luckily my test is pregnancy test is showing negative but yesterday I had some really light bleeding, only when I went to the toilet once and the stopped, today I went and had minimal blood but now stopped again. Im worried this may be implantation bleeding from when we slept together or it could hopefully just be my period trying to start. I did have a scan the other day which showed my uterus lining is very thick (obv wouldn’t show a pregnancy as would be too soon as only been 2 and a bit weeks). Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts of if it could be implantation or period?! X

Only time will tell which doesn't help at all.

I really feel for you, I had a partial molar a few years ago and was at Charing Cross. It was an awful experience but the team there are fantastic and I know they'll look after you x

@ChelseiSC I also had a partial molar back in December, so also know how hard it is to cope with! Thanks

Typically after a molar pregnancy it takes a while for your HCG to come back down to normal (mine took 8 weeks) so the chances of falling pregnant straight after is unlikely.

I also had some on and off bleeding for a while after surgery and the only thing my midwife worried about with random, sporadic bleeding is it could be a sign of the molar tissue growing back.. are your levels being checked every week/ 2 weeks? X

Thanks for messaging me!

Since this, I’ve had what appears to be tissue as it’s dark blood and like tissue so least I can rule out pregnancy. It’s stopped now and I did my first samples of blood and urine today so hopefully I’ll have my results by the end of the week. I’m not sure how often I’m being monitored.

So sorry you’ve also been through this xx

No worries! Hopefully your results come back ok 🤞🏻

I remember feeling it was never going to end and I'd never have a viable pregnancy but I'm now 18 weeks pregnant with a healthy little bean Grin

Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions or need to talk! I know it's hard as most people have never even heard of it xx

I really hope so!

That’s honestly how I feel at the moment, it’s so frustrating. That’s amazing, massive congratulations!! That’s such lovely news. How long did it take for you to fall pregnant again after the diagnosis of a molor? (More than welcome to message me instead of on here)

Thanks so much, that means a lot. I never heard of it before now xx
