TTC and Sex Drive??!

Name changed as I am embarrassed! Lighthearted thread on a personal matter!

We're on our 3rd month of trying after me having my contraceptive implant removed. The major change I've noticed is with my mood, I hadn't realised how bad I'd felt on the implant so that has been great but I'm now noticing that my libido is insanely high.

For a girl who's happy with having sex less than once a week this is new for me (and my poor partner who I am trying desperately not to annoy!). Is this normal when ttc? Obviously I'm aware it's a good thing and that the aim of sex has always biologically been to reproduce but I have to say it has taken me by surprise😂

I think it's pretty normal. I was on Implanon for 9 years. I forgot was a libido was. I also found it easier to orgasm post contraception. So much more sensitive. Never want to go back to it!

My sex drive was awful on the pill and TBH, I didn't enjoy it as much IYKWIM. Which makes me laugh because people go on the pill to have more sex

Since coming off it after having kids, I get bad PMS in the week before my period, but definitely want and enjoy sex more the rest of the time.

Phew! It's so alien to me, I've never been one for loads of sex though I do enjoy it when it happens. Must be a combination of no contraceptives and biological urge to have another baby although I do not remember it being like this with my first born!
