Surely this isn't normal..

Hello,

So I'm feeling absolutely dreadful to put it lightly.

I (think, according to my app) was due AF today. For the past 2/3 days I've been unbearably nauseous, completely off my food. No interest in eating, I just feel so sick. Also been having dizzy spells occasionally, and I'm really constipated 🤦🏼‍♀️ and having the occasional acid flux type thing.

All tests thus far have been negative 😞 I don't know what's going on!

Currently sitting in the bathroom feeling like I could be sick at any moment 😣🤢

@Eleoura I'd have thought the same to be honest but as it's been a good few days I'm not sure. I have such a weak stomach I ave usually been sick by now. Can't even go to the loo! 😩😔

Pregnancy symptoms don't really start (especially nausea & sickness) until 5/6 weeks in so could be something other than pregnancy

@ffiffi123 yes that's what I thought, too! Very strange. I'll keep an eye. AF is now officially late, too. Xx

Sometimes the stress of TTC can make you feel 'phantom symptoms', I now I have felt this way before! However, if your cycle is irregular, you could've ovulated later than you thought? Fingers crossed for you OP xx

@Yrmyfavourite I'm fairly regular which is why this seems super strange!
Made a cuppa this morning and had to throw it out, it tastes awful!
No idea what's going on. Tests still negative!

I feel that way before every period, TTC or not. It’s horrible but GP says it’s just a PMS thing.

with my 5th I knew I was pg the morning after the night before🤷‍♀️🤣

if you are due today that means you are 2 weeks pg.
your body is reacting to something a pg test can't show yet.
wait a week then repeat test.

@Wanttocry oh god that's awful, so sorry to hear that you suffer with this as PMS! I've never had anything like this before, and usually I get terrible cramping and pains before AF. Had no cramps whatsoever but absolutely awful nausea!

Could also be Covid. It can affect your digestive system, so might be worth doing a test....you could be preggars though.

@myspicynutsarefried yes that was one of my first thoughts, although covid tests are all negative!

Sometimes the mind can play tricks on us, especially when we are hyper vigilant for signs of something.

Try to get on with what you would usually be doing and distract yourself.

@TheYearOfSmallThings completely agree, having TTC for way over a year though I can honestly hand on heart say I haven't ever felt like this. I've had 3 chemical losses and also never felt like this.. hence why I just thought it's a little odd!
I'm working later today so that will keep me busy. Just the feeling of being nauseous is awful

if you are feeling dizzy tomorrow call your GP, it might be worth getting your blood pressure checked.
and you could maybe get a blood test booked.

if it was me having those symptoms I'd be definitely pg. really rooting for you, do come back & update in a week!

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba I will do. I have been struggling with TTC having been trying over a year now. Had bloods recently and the results came back a few weeks ago to say that my tendency to blood clotting is higher than their average / baseline.. so I know that I do have that to contend with. But this is so strange.
I will be calling them tomorrow if nothing changes! Xx

Nausea and constipation started at 6 weeks for me. In fact, it was the lack of any symptoms before AF that made me wonder if I was pregnant that month! I feel like it may be a little early to be feeling so nauseous with no bfp yet. Having said that, maybe women who end up with HG in pregnancy get sick sooner? 🤷‍♀️ If still no AF in another couple of days then definitely test again! If it's a bug then hopefully it passes quick for you!

@SLT90 thank you, I thought the same, it does seem early! Not sure what to think. I'm going to hold off testing for now xx
