Here we go again... TTC #2

So my baby boy turns one in 2 weeks and we have made the decision for me to stop taking my pill. Anyone else just starting their journey for baby number 2??

I have been so torn whether it is too soon to start trying again, but it took us 16 months and a cycle of hormones to conceive DS so we may be waiting a while but nervous of it happening first time

My DS turned 1 last month and we are on cycle 2 of TTC#2. I'm currently in the TWW.

We conceived really quickly with DS but due to our age, we can't afford to hang about so started trying again when he was 11 months. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. The thought of having 2 under 2 is scary x

I am starting TTC again mid July after my next AF! Feeling excited but also a little anxious about how long it will take. I was lucky with my first and got my BFP in cycle #2. Feel a bit like we have started the process already as this cycle I am using OPKs to get ready for next cycle! Good luck with your journey ❤🤞

Meant to add my DS is 15 months so aiming for a 2 year gap roughly 😊

Good luck with your cycles! Being back on the pill this time I have had endless bleeding so I think it will take me a while to work out what my actual cycle is! It is exciting but terrifying at the same time the thought of another baby!

How were your first pregnancies? X

I'm on cycle 2 of ttc baby number 2.

I'm 36 and have a two year old... I've had an odd cycle this time, July AF a week early & ovulation pretty much a few days after AF ended.

I had my peak yesterday but I think I've missed it again this month 😞 I'll attach photos to see what you guys think xxx

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

My first pregnancy was textbook and very straight forward. However, I had chronic nausea from weeks 6-17 which was hellish! Really hoping it's not as bad next time (although I've heard it can be worse 😖). Really not looking forward to that 🙈

@blippiobsessed gosh it feels like so long ago since I've done this!! What app is it that you are using?

@H8theW8 I absolutely loved being pregnant, I didn't get any sickness so feel very lucky and fear it will be terrible the next time!!

First month using Easy@Home ovulation strips which have been fab! 3DPO 👀🤞🏼

I came off the pill when DD was 15 months old. She's 27 months now and we're still TTC#2. I've just paid privately for a fertility MOT to make sure everything's OK (in my early 40s now)

@wegoagain I was very lucky as my first pregnancy was lovely and was easy as far as pregnancy goes. Had bad nausea from weeks 6-9 and some pelvic pain right at the end but otherwise can't complain. Also had the birth I wanted (did have 3 days of labour at home before that mind you!). So i do worry that we mat not be so lucky second time round!!! But time will tell!

@babyboybluex good luck! When do you think you will test?

@wegoagain you're so lucky! I can handle most things but feeling sick... NO! It's the worst.

@babyboybluex I'm 7DPO, feels like I've been in the TWW forever! I'll be testing on Tuesday as got my BFP with DS at 9DPO so hoping it's the same this time 🤞🏼

I got this this morning after a squinter on a strip test late last night. I'm 8dpo!

@H8theW8 ahhh I can definately see a line there!!

@SLT90 I'm going to hold out until 10DPO I think! Ideally I should wait longer but I know I won't manage haha. What about you?

@H8theW8 I can see this faint line!! I love that you tested early I recon if you do another over the next few days it will be darker. How exciting x

Just to add, I've got cramping on my left side and tender boobs. I'm really hoping these are positive signs!! Cannot wait to get testing.

@babyboybluex I'm boring, I've just waited for AF the two cycles I was TTC for DS so I just tested when AF didn't show up the second cycle. Plan to do the same this time too, I figure it's cheaper that way 🤣🤣 doesn't stop me symptom spotting though 🙈

I need to do what you do @SLT90! That's amazing that you have the nerve x

@babyboybluex I figure I will find out eventually either way, plus it means I would be blissfully unaware of any early chemicals if they were to happen ❤ I really hope we are lucky right away this time as the dates would suit so well, but I know that's not realistic!!

@babyboybluex I tested again with strips this afternoon and they are darker already 🤩 my FRER got delivered today (6 of them plus 2 CB digital weeks indicators 🙈) so I'll use another one tomorrow with FMU and keep everything crossed the line keeps getting darker 🤞🏼

Am I ok to hop on this one? We’re ttc #2, o haven’t been on any contraceptive since having DD 2 years ago. We’ve had a few instances of me really feeling like I was expecting, only for AF to appear (assuming these could have been chemical). Really actively tried this month, AF will be two weeks late on Monday, and still bfn 😑 just feel frustrated, thought it was definitely happening this time with AF not showing. (Usually clockwork 33 day cycle)

Hi @Josephine2021 do you use OPKs? You might have ovulated late this month and it's pushed your period back?

Hi @H8theW8 I don’t track via strips, just usually go by my Fitbit tracker for when I’m due. Think it’s maybe worth me tracking more closely.

How's everyone doing? I thought I was just going to see what happened for a few months while my cycle sorted itself out but already ordered OPKs

I’ve ordered some conceive plus, and just starting to look at RHR via my Fitbit to see if I can monitor through my cycle. Still no sign of AF for me.
