Spotting every month before period

Hi all,
Feel like Iv got myself into a bit of a state with googling things online.
Since stopping the pill in 2015 I have spotted every month before my period. The spotting usually starts 6 days before but sometimes can be ten days before. My cycle is 28 days.
I have two children who are 11 and 8. I had a miscarriage in March this year and am worried about that the reason for this. I’m 34 and worried about my age compared to when I had my other children. Also when I went for my follow up scan after my miscarriage, I looked at the notes afterwards and my ovary volume was quite small at 4.1ml for the right ovary. I have got myself into a panic that I have low ovarian reserve now. It’s been 3 months now since the miscarriage and despite timing sex at the right time there is no hint of a bfp.

Does anyone have experience with spotting in the leutal phase?

I spot in the luteal phase and got diagnosed with cervical ectropion. It never bleeds before ovulation, always after. It must be due to position of cervix.
Have you spoken to your gp? It might be worth them having look.

Hi, yes I do have a cervical etropion also. Mine is the same never bleeds before ovulation only after and after sex but again only in the leutal phase. If I knew it was the cause if it u probably could relax but I keep thinking it’s due to something else.

It's hard not to worry. I'm a few years older than you and been ttc for 7 months. The gynae consultant reassured me that the ectropion has no impact on fertility whatsoever. For me it's definitely the ectropion causing the bleeding.

@Lucy8721 I was spotting for at least 5 days before AF every month for 16 months since starting TTC and conceived twice during this time but miscarried at 5 weeks. I was convinced something was up and like you was also googling. I went for a smear in March and my doctor said I had an irritated cervix (likely cervical erosion) so I'm sure this is why it happens to us. To give you a bit of hope, I conceived again in April and I'm now 14 weeks pregnant. I'm 33 so almost the same age as you too. Try not to worry, I changed nothing in the month it happened for me!

Thank you so much. I did have this years ago when I conceived my daughter who is now 8 but was just worrying as I’m now older and too much google lol. Took me 5 months to conceive my daughter. Did you still have spotting before your bfp?

Ye it has never had an effect on fertility for me Iv had four pregnancies (Mmc, DS, Ds and mc) think I’m just worrying because I’m older now. I was worrying it could be low progesterone

@Lucy8721 I had my progesterone tested in March after ovulation and it was a good level despite the spotting. I had no spotting on the month I got the BFP initially but did spot for 4 days at about 6 weeks pregnant and then it stopped and I've had none since. I think that was my cervix causing that again!

Congrats on your pregnancy :)

Ye same, when I had my bfp from
My latest miscarriage I didn’t have any spotting until 7 weeks when I miscarried. It was the first sign for me that I could be pregnant 1 the lack of spotting. I was wondering if to get my progesterone tested but maybe I’ll just give it a bit more time.
