Hi everyone,

First of all I'm new so I'm sorry if I've posted this is the wrong place etc.

I got a faint positive yesterday and another one just now (I will try to attach pics). But all day today I've had bad period type pains, and I'm my lower back also. They are mainly on my left side but then occasionally switch to my right and my lower back is aching too.

I'm around 11dpo (I used OPK), I had a small amount of brown blood in my knickers at 7dpo, which I thought must have been implantation bleeding but today I've had some red mucus when I wiped too :( and some white/light yellow discharge which is very watery.

Could I be having a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy? I am on cd 26 out of 28 so my period is due Friday...I normally spot a couple of days before my period.

Please offer any advice you can I am so worried something is wrong :(

(I have attached the positive tests I got yesterday & today)

Hi @strawberry0

I'm really sorry you're going through this and I'lll share my experience. It sounds like a chemical to me :(

I'm currently experiencing a chemical and have had one in the past. This time I got a positive 1-2 weeks on a cb digital last Thursday on CD26 (normally 28 day cycles).

Since then my tests have got lighter and lighter and I started bleeding last night at 4 weeks 5 days, CD31.

pbdr · 30/06/2021 18:41

It's possible it could be a chemical OP, a significant proportion of fertilised eggs are genetically abnormal/non-viable, and before highly sensitive urinary pregnancy tests women simply would have never known they had conceived, but nowadays you can find out so early that more women do end realising an it can be upsetting.
It may turn out to be fine, I had a lot of severe pains in early pregnancy and nothing ever came of it and I am now 22 weeks, but all you can do is wait and see if this particular pregnancy is going to stick. I'll be crossing my fingers for you Flowers

Hi, I'm sorry you're going through, it's a really anxious time. It is really tricky to say what's going on as I've had those symptoms with both a healthy pregnancy and an early loss. All you can really do is see how things go during the next few days (not very helpful I know). Hopefully the bleeding/ aches will stop. I truly hope all goes well for you.

strawberry0 · 30/06/2021 18:58

@BelliniButterfly this is what my gut feeling is telling me 😥I regret testing early now but other symptoms eg. Sore boobs and feeling sick made me curious.

I'm sorry this has happened to you! It's so sad but I hope you don't give up, sending big hugs Flowers

@pbdr I really am hoping it turns out to be ok and nothing bad is happening. I know early pregnancy can cause aches and pains as your uterus stretches etc but this really does feel like period pains 😓 unless I am being paranoid but I have a gut feeling

@Eh1112 thank you so much. I know I need to just wait it out and see what happens but it's all I can think about😖

When I conceived my dd's, I was CONVINCED that AF was coming because I had bad period pains and also had brown blood. It's completely normal.
Pink and brown is usually fine, bright red isn't.

Congratulations xx

strawberry0 · 30/06/2021 20:55

@Houseofvelour thank you for your response!
I've had no more blood since earlier on today.. it was when I wiped and on the tissue there was clear gooey discharge with some red in. I really hope there's no more fingers crossed

Hope all continues well for you op

Sorry you are going through this. Are those one step tests? If so, I'd suggest buying an early FRER to double check. I had one steps tests, but got false negatives and even false positives! There was an entire batch of duds too, so double check with another brand. best of luck x

UPDATE

so I had more bleeding last night during sex (sorry! TMI but I want to be honest) so I assumed my period was coming as I am due today (Friday). Put a tampon in and went to sleep. Woke up this morning and tampon is totally clean... still got cramps though and have had them all day, been running to the loo all day at work to check my knickers and no more bleeding, just loads of clear watery discharge to the point where I feel like I've peed myself.

I only have the cheap tests from the other day to go off so I went out on my dinner hour and bought a clear blue early detection test and it was positive. I will attach a pic below. I would have thought the line would have been darker now as today should be day 1 of my period? My gut feeling is telling me it's a chemical pregnancy or something is wrong as I've had cramps all day to the point where I'm sure my period is coming :/

What do you guys think? I don't know what I want out of this post really I think I just need to get it off my chest, I don't want to tell my boyfriend as he is desperate for us to have a baby and I don't want to give him false hope if this pregnancy doesn't work out :(

That looks a strong positive to me I'd be very happy with that line 🎉

If you're still mot sure give it a couple more days and do another x

Samanabanana · 02/07/2021 16:05

The last test looks like a strong positive to me. My implantation bleeding happened on day 31 ish of a 28 day cycle, very red (but mucous-y) and the cramps were awful. Totally convinced it was another mc but I'm now 27 weeks pregnant! I spotted all the way until 8 weeks though which was very anxiety inducing. Will keep my fingers crossed for you Flowers

strawberry0 · 02/07/2021 16:59

@Lolajames thank you! Yeah I'm going to do another in a couple of days, I got a digital one with this clear blue one as well in the same pack so I might do that next week if I have no more bleeding!

@Samanabanana congratulations on your pregnancy I'm so happy this one has worked out for you!

Thank you for your reply that has made me feel a lot more positive 🥰

If you have lots of cm then you are most definitely pregnant. It's your body's way of keeping bacteria away from your uterus.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/07/2021 00:31

Yes, loads of watery CM and some pink and brown spotting is classic early pregnancy. Plus the uterine stretching feels EXACTLY like period cramps!
