I hope so @Babyghirl! So had a call from the gp this morning asking me to have a repeat blood test in a month as my prolactin levels are high :( anyone else had this? Apparently he requested I have it done 'when not stressed' - like, seriously?! How can I not be stressed right now? I had my test done last week during the school holidays so as a teacher there isn't a less stressful time to have one. Now I'm freaking out there is something wrong or I'm pre menopausal 😭

Yea right doc like saying that will help me stress less, try taking a month of from testing for anything plan a few things, is it your 21 day bloods they want tested again

@Babyghirl didn't test anything this month as I deliberately used up my opks and don't do bbt- honestly thought I wasn't stressed this month!! No apparently it doesn't matter when in the cycle as they just want to 're check the prolactin nothing else so I don't really know. Plus the receptionist was being really cagey about sending me a copy of the results and just keeps saying oh I'll have to check with the gp despite me having them last time no problems. I thought it was a legal right to get your results?!

Your right to get ur results no matter what why don't u try having it done when ur on ur period I knw when I'm on my period I'm less stress cause I'm not stressing about dtd trying to catch ovulation, but phone bck and tell them you want the results cause it's stressing u out and they want u less stressed for the nxt set off bloods.

Great tip! Phoned again and got a different receptionist who did it straight away for me. So it says progesterone 33.3nmol/l and prolactin 586mu/l but I literally have no ideas what those numbers mean!! I'm guessing the progesterone is fine and I ovulated?!

Progesterone great 16 and above says ovulation don't ask me what other numbers mean thou I don't even know what it is 😂😂😂😂😂😂 my progesterone after getting it done was only 16.5 so on the low side 💚

I was looking it up there and this is what I came across is it to do with ur throid med will norm bring it down.

I know and weird because it says on the notes they want a retest in case I was stressed on or medication when I had it done but haven't taken anything and wasn't stressed 😂 on the plus side if there is something we can do something about great ! Also I'm glad progesterone is good because of the spotting I thought that was an issue..

I had an early loss a few months ago and since then my cycles seem to have ramped it up a gear in terms of symptoms. For example, I've never seen so much EWCM in my life! I've also been getting quite intense ovulation pain around the same time. Lots of pressure/cramping/tingling sensation.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same at all?? X

Welcome! I think I have had more ovulation pain since my mc not sure about ewcm really? It might be because of your hormones still being a bit unsettled..?

Welcome to the thread no one wants to be on but great support here I always suffer from ovulation pain but before I knew what it was I run to the docs in my 20s thinking I was dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 not sure abot the ewcm myself some months I get loads other months I don't notice it

I'm having a confusing time. Usual cycles are 30/31 days long. Guess what day I'm on at the minute...

38 DAYS!!!

All negative tests so far but done the odd opk and I think their quite dark (not positive) for this point in the cycle. Was due on last Monday and still no sign of period. Had some symptoms soz tmi constipation, small aches, sore nipples and veiny boobs which I had last time I was pregnant but at this point I had dark lines on pregnancy tests. Anyone else experienced this!?

Maybe you should ask if they are going to fund some yoga before the next blood test kiwi17! Seriously, though, I can understand your frustration. I don’t know anything about prolactin unfortunately, although mine was out years ago due to an antidepressant I was on at the time. I only found out because my period stopped for several months. Good news about the progesterone though.

Oh that sounds like torture apwilso. I had a cycle like that a couple of months ago but we never got to the bottom of it. Have you tried different types of pregnancy test?

Welcome to the thread Lil45754, although sorry you find yourself needing to be here. I cannot say I’ve noticed much difference in EWCM but I do feel ovulation more strongly than before.

Hahaha @Miscarriage39 that's a good one - maybe I'll bring that up when I go for the test 😂 ridiculous though! Yes the note said either medication or stress interference but I know I haven't taken anything apart from the odd paracetamol so probably wasn't that!

@Miscarriage39 yep! Tried easy at home, coop and Asda. The coop ones feel like they showed up a faint line but they had loads of scratches on the screen. I snded up breaking it open which I know is instantly invalid but I was frustrated. This is the longest cycle I've ever had ofc without being pregnant. So I'm hoping I get a BFP!

Welcome @Lil45754 great bunch of ladies on here. Unfortunately I can't help with the ewcm thing as like others have said some month there's loads and others not.

@apwilso keeping my fingers crossed, it's so frustrating when you don't have a clue what's going on

@kiwi17 least you have some results now and some sort of plan. It stresses me out more when people say just relax and it will happen...they think we woke up like this. Of we could relax and just get our BFPs I certainly wouldn't be doing all this other stuff!

I'm so ready to get of the saddle but I ovulated last month on CD8 but nt happened yet this month so looks like I won't be stepping of just yet 😂😂😂😂😂😂 my bitch is in heat and at it like rabbits to so maybe that's a sign lol 💚

@babyghirl I'm so sorry it's hard isn't it, just takes your feet from right under you. You are happy for them at heart, I know you are. It just stings when it's so close to home. I don't feel like that when people on here announce. Our time will come. In the meantime hugs x

Don't feel bad about leaving the group hopefully that'll make them realise they've been really harsh. Hope you've got something to eat/drink/watch/do to make you feel better.

Af properly came in today and I've been in agony and had a big bust up with dh so overall not a great day here either. I've treated myself to a large gin and bought some B6 in the hope it'll help me drop my prolactin levels down before the next blood test 🤞
