I had a very faint positive pregnancy test yesterday and then a much darker one today using smu on a frer! My period was due today. I spoke to my Dr this morning, who has been on this whole journey with me and she managed to speak to a gynaecologist regarding my history who has prescribed me progesterone and aspirin for the first 12 weeks. I really appreciate their swift response this time round! It's due to 3 miscarriages but I also recently turned 40 so that will be an extra risk now!

Mixed emotions of mainly happiness and excitement but also fear! DH and I were arguing last night because he started talking about my miscarriages and then said "Let's hope it doesn't happen again!" I told him that I would rather focus on the future and just try to stay as positive as possible! My last miscarriage was at 8 weeks so I'll probably feel more positive when we get past 8 weeks and then there's the 12 week scan!

I used smu for my pregnancy test because I read online that a lot of women get more accurate results from frer when using smu so I definitely found that tip helpful.

I didn't realise that my progesterone prescription would be a pessary! Glad I realised before I put it in the wrong hole! X

Babyghirl · 26/07/2021 18:13

Oh wow, congratulations H0peing. That’s brilliant that your GP is so supportive and was so quick off the mark with getting prescriptions. I really hope everything goes well for you.

I’m sorry you’re also having stand offs with your DH kiwi17. I hope it’s all a bit easier this evening. I don’t think it was exactly a throw away comment. He thinks I need some emotional support, but is also questioning whether we look at tests with a private fertility place.

Gummybear17 · 26/07/2021 20:46

@Miscarriage39 I am sorry camping wasn't as relaxing as you would have hoped . It really is hard to park emotions after such a stressful and emotional time. Yes I caved and booked one this morning. I had been getting pain all night but didn't feel I could justify an NHS scan . Measured 6+3 which I am and good strong heartbeat thank goodness. I guess I am as reassured as I can be at the moment but I won't relax not for a long time x

MrsF111 · 26/07/2021 21:18

I think it’s a no from me, I’m not sure if I’m imagining the faintest of lines or if it’s totally blank?! Due on in 2 days so I’ll probably wait now until then to test again 😢

I hate what MCs have done to us Ladies as I just can’t even start to feel excited or bring myself to tell my husband.

Still got my fingers crossed for you @mrsf111

Congratulations on the BFP @elm7 ☺️

H0peing · 27/07/2021 09:46

@Gummybear17 Glad your scan went well! X

H0peing · 27/07/2021 09:48

@ELM7 Congratulations!!! Xx

H0peing · 27/07/2021 09:53

@MrsF111 I would definitely recommend trying a frer using smu. When I tried fmu with frer it was negative and I only got a bright pink line when using smu. Now that it's slightly further along it is showing up on a clearblue digital with fmu but it wasn't at first. X

H0peing · 27/07/2021 09:55

I had a call this morning from the EPU and they have booked me in for a 6 week scan on 11th August at 3pm! I feel very grateful to have been offered such an early scan on the NHS but I've been told that they usually offer early scans to everyone 40+

MrsF111 · 27/07/2021 10:05

Thanks ladies, I might order some FRER. I was so confident for this month praying it’s just a little early 🤞

MrsF111 · 27/07/2021 10:06

@H0peing that’s great news! Not long to wait for you
