Late period - Negative test

I'm 5 days late on my period and still have a negative test. I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone and they tested positive in the end?

No help unfortunately but I'm in exactly the same situation. Wondering if it's a side effect from my covid vaccine though which I had earlier this month - don't know if that would also apply to you? Apparently it's affected a lot of women and messed up cycles/periods...

Would expect to see a result being 5 days late.
As pp have your recently had vaccine?

Thanks Yeah I did have my vaccine at the beginning of the month. About 10 days after my period stopped. I have a long cycle, usually 35 days but I'm not on 40.

I'm in same position. I'm normally dead on 27 or 28 days. Today is 30. I normally have achy boobs in run up to period and none of that. I don't feel like I'm about to come on. Negative tests. I had an ectopic years ago and I know that if this happens then HCG levels unlikely to show on a pregnancy test for weeks. I'm really hoping its not another ectopic.

I'm wondering what proportion of positive pregnancies don't show initially on a home pregnancy test?

@ChampagneLassie No idea! I'm getting worried now as I'm 7 days late and still no period! Didn't think I'd ever be hoping for it haha

It's a common side effect of the vaccine - I'd encourage people to report it though!

@Juno231 thanks, I reported it last night. So in theory I should ovulate this month and come on in the next 3 weeks...fingers crossed

Mine has just started today... 9 days late!

@thinpigeon did you have any of yours usual symptoms?

To be completely honest, I'm not sure. This is only my second cycle since coming off the pill so I'm still getting used to things without intervention. Also TTC so symptom spotting like crazy!
