Hello! I just wondered if anybody would be able to help explain to me how best to temp during my cycle?

Has a bit of a realisation this evening that perhaps I'm not ovulating when I think I am.
I had a (what i thought was) positive OPK Monday, but tested just now and it seems to be even more positive?!

I'm now wondering if I should start temping to see if that helps me pinpoint what's going on.

This is our 13th month TTC.

can anybody explain to me what to do?! HmmBlush

Thank you! X

To start with you need a decent thermometer that has two decimals (nn.nn). Then you take your temps as soon as you wake up every morning - try to keep it to the same time.

I use the Femometer thermometer as it syncs with my phone, it doesn't take as long and I can adjust the volume so it doesn't bother DH. As for an app a lot of people recommend Fertility friend. What you should see is a jump of at least 0.3C after you ovulate.

@justpanic what the previous poster said and to elaborate - ovulation is confirmed by three consecutive temps higher than the previous six. Use fertility friend though and it'll do the calculation for you. If you input opks/cm it will be even more accurate.

I just use a £10 basal thermometer from amazon (femometer brand) and the FF app is free.
