Sorry in advance, am new to this.

I'm due on in 4 days and think I'm roughly 11 DPO. If I bought a first response test tomorrow would it likely give me an accurate result? What's the earliest anyone has had even a faint line?

I'm not going to get into the habit of early testing (hopefully) but I've had a few symptoms this time...

9DPO has been my earliest BFP. Both times using internet cheapies.

HelloBunny · 23/06/2021 23:13

Both times I was pregnant, I had waited until a missed period. And it was exciting to get that BFP!
Other times, when I tested early, it was just disappointing... I mean, you either are or you aren’t in the end.

You may find this helpful. Good luck!

Thank you that seems like a fairly solid result. I know it's always best to just I wait but I'm feeling a bit jittery. Aware that I might still have to test again next week if AF doesn't arrive but hopefully if I get a pack or 2 today it will keep me sane over the weekend...

Good luck Smile for what it's worth, I have a 12 day luteal period (at best) so many have my positives have come at 10/11dpo because for me, thats the day before I'm due on.

Like PP, I have an 11 day LP and got my BFP at 9DPO on a FRER.

Best of luck 🤞🏼

BiscoffLove · 24/06/2021 12:05

I’m new here.

I tested at CD22 (8DPO) to just use a FRER test I had laying around thinking nothing of it and I got a faint BFP. I then took one 2 days later and each day after which brings me to today on CD26.

I have a CD28 cycle - awaiting to see if it’s a Sticky bean so we can get excited as I’ve had a couple CP before but lines were ALOT fainter and never really progressed like this.

Good luck!

Wow @BiscoffLove they are super dark considering you aren't even due yet, congrats! I am also day 26 of 29/30 day cycle. Just did a first response test which was negative so guessing that's pretty conclusive given that it says it can detect pregnancy 6 days before AF and I'm now only 4 days to AF.

Not a big deal, we weren't really on the ball with actively ttc this month so it's not a surprise but I just had a few weird symptoms this week.

@Sunshinesusan60 you’ve still got a week to go! Don’t quit just yet you never know. Everyone’s different.

Yeah I’m confused at how early I got one but not out the woods yet, this has happened before with fainter ones and AF showed on the day she was supposed too. I’ll keep everything crossed for us x

JLQ1020 · 24/06/2021 13:01

I tested postive 2 days before my period was due. Postive on the cheap tests negative on the clear blue digital but a week later both showed postive.

Stormyequine · 24/06/2021 13:11

I don't think it is ever really worth testing before AF is due. A negative doesn't necessarily mean you are not pregnant, and a positive doesn't mean AF won't turn up anyway, so either result means you might be pregnant, which you already know if you are TTC. I know it is really hard, but you will save a fortune, and possibly a lot of heartache if you can wait a few days.

Sunshinesusan60 · 24/06/2021 13:17

@Stormyequine you're right I know it's the sensible thing to do. I just can't seem to stop myself! It's like I need to know even when it's too early to know for sure! I won't keep doing it (she says Hmm) because if nothing else it's costing me a bloody fortune!
