Do darkening ovulation tests mean anything…?

Or is the surge the only indicator?

I’m about 6 weeks post miscarriage for an unplanned baby. Unfortunately spent all of the 2 months I was pregnant furious with myself and unsure before finding out I had a missed miscarriage. It’s been the worst fucking experience of my life because I feel so much shame. I feel like I wished my baby away.

We have decided that we want to try again and I desperately want my cycles to return. My period is now down to light spotting and I have been doing ovulation sticks for the last couple of weeks as part of my tracking.

Today I noticed that the line, although not a positive, has gotten much darker now my period is basically over.

Does this mean my cycle is progressing hopefully as it should?

I had regular cycles and am in my twenties if that helps.

LH fluctuates a bit throughout the cycle so it COULD mean nothing - but realistically I think it sounds like your body is gearing up for ovulation so do keep testing and if you're using ICs perhaps up it to twice a day now until you catch your peak.
