Have I had a false positive?

Posting out of curiosity/frustration but appreciate I do just need to wait a few days!

I took this with FMU today (I’m due on AF on Sunday, so still 5 days away). I then did another IC and FRER this evening, both BFN. I’m assuming that this was a false positive? Are they common with these tests? Wouldn’t have thought urine dilution would make that much difference….

It does look pink so could be that your urine was diluted this evening. Can you do an frer in the morning? 🤞🏻

It did look pink - I’ve been burnt by evaps before but they’ve all been grey. The FR were on 2 for 1 in Boots so I could do another one tomorrow morning. I swore I wouldn’t test early this month but here we are….!

Mine looked like that as for some
Crazy reason I tested 4 days before my period as I felt so ill.
I only caught sight of the faintest line when I put it in the bin. Try to wait a few days and test again. I use the cheap strips as never had any luck with an FRER.

Can deffo see a line! Any news..? Xx

I'm in exactly the same position as you! I did an IC yesterday morning first thing that came up with pretty much the same faint positive as yours. Then did and IC this morning and BFN and did a FR this afternoon and BFN. I have my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully they weren't false negatives.

So this was Tuesday and I did a FRER Wednesday morning which was stark white! I think for now I’m taking this as a blip and just waiting to see if AF arrives over the weekend….

Fingers crossed for you! Any update?

So I did a first response test but didn't realise that I was actually using a rapid result test rather than early result. Honestly had no idea there were 2 different types. But apparently the rapid results one is much less sensitive. I've ordered some early result as well as some clear blue tests that should arrive tomorrow. In short, not losing hope yet but also going to not get too excited. Will keep you posted but probably won't test now until Sunday morning. Don't lose hope! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Any news ladies? Same position as you guys. Faint pink line on one step but BFN on clear blue. Just ordered a first response so hopefully that should arrive today.
