Vaccines & TTC

Hi All - assume this is a hot topic right now. I have had the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine earlier this month. Am on day 36 yet but no period and negative pregnancy test. I then read about vaccines and menstrual cycles and heard a lot of women having delayed or more painful periods post the vaccine. Any one here with those side effects ? Already hard enough to track your cycles after TTC for 18 months and 1 miscarriage so this is really driving me nuts !

There have been a couple of threads on this and some have reported slightly delayed periods and ovulation but some haven’t seen any changes at all. I’ve ovulated like normal since my first jab (cd 14 of 28) and AF has arrived bang on time. I was nervous about getting the Pfizer jab but really glad I had it done. Fingers crossed for us both with our TTC journeys! X

@bstrong0805 I’m so sorry about your miscarriage Flowers

See, I wonder this too. I quit birth control in January, periods have been a bit irregular but came every month. After first dose I skipped a period all together and now, the following month, came on d 32, so all seems fine. Not sure if it was the vaccine or the hormonal mess that I am GrinGrin

Dr says it has nothing to do with the vaccine, but seeing the threads on here, I highly doubt it

AliceLivesHere · 21/06/2021 15:31

I'd ignore much of what people said on here about vaccines and chat to your doctor or specialist for facts rather than scare stories, anecdotes and made up rubbish.

Good luck

@AliceLivesHere thanks. I did speak to my GP but on paper there isnt enough evidence to show it has an impact, though more than 4k women have reported this. So I was curious to know people's real experiences here.
@poppet131 thank you ! And all the best to you too :)
@readingismycardio exactly and thus my question here to see what are people's experiences.

I wouldn’t call it “scare stories and made up rubbish” after reading hundreds of posts and comments about women experiencing these issues after having the vaccine.
Whatever the reason of the issues may be, I’m not having the vaccine, for now, and will wait a bit to see the results of current studies/research.

I had the Pfizer jab a week before AF, which then arrived on time, lasted the same amount of days, with the same flow. I've now ovulated at my usual time too. So no effects on my cycle so far! X

I had the Pfizer jab a couple of days before AF and it arrived on time or about a day early. Then this cycle I thought I ovulated a couple of days later than usual and am now on DPO14 and have had multiple BFNs expecting AF any minute and slightly panicking! CM is very dry.
