IVF - Menopur Left Over After Injection

Hi

Has anyone who had used Menopur during IVF found that they had left over after final dose? I don't know how much I have but there is liquid leftover in the glass container and I'm worried I haven't managed to get the full 200iu dosage with all injections!

First time doing IVF so I'm a little nervous I'm getting it wrong!

If you have a look at the needle, the tip will be slanted in one direction. Lean the glass vial in the same direction as the slanty bit of the needle and pull the top out and you should find it all goes into the syringe.

Thanks! It makes sense! I'm just worried that as I had some liquid left over that over the last 6 doses I haven't had the full dose and not sure what that will mean for the treatment plan!

I often had that. Clinic told me it is normal and there's a little extra in the vial to compensate for spillages etc.

Oh thank you that's put me at ease! I was in a panic about it!

I often had leftover Menopur and Buseralin when we were doing IVF. Don't worry OP! The vials come in specific sizes and sometimes your dose doesn't correspond, if it does then likely a little over for spillages or mishaps as PP said. Good luck x

No my dose is 200 so with the 1200 vial I should get 6 doses and I didn't expect to have any left over.

I would maybe speak to the clinic. Ours was 150 with 1200 vial which was why we had some left
