On Tuesday I was ecstatic to find that I had gotten pregnant straight after a miscarriage at 10 weeks last month. On Thursday morning I started bleeding, it's red and average flow. Bit lighter than my usual period and even lighter today. Was crampy for the first day but nothing since. I thought a chemical straight away and EPU said it probably was, nothing they could do at such an early stage and to just test again on Monday and get back to them with the result.

I'm unsure of where exactly in my cycle I am as I didn't track and we only dtd twice since the miscarriage, both of those being in the same week so must have caught my ovulation! I think I'm around 12-14dpo, it's only been 5 weeks since the miscarriage so obviously it is pretty early.

Anyway, I've been poas everyday (twice a day or more because I have no chill whatsoever and this uncertainty is driving me mad). I've been so sure that my lines would just fade out from here but they aren't. The one I've took this afternoon is actually my strongest line yet. I always test better in the afternoons. Given how early it is, there can't be much HCG in my system right? Is this normal for it to be stronger? Should it start fading?
I've never had a chemical pregnancy before but everything I read suggested that the line would disappear within a few days, so I'm oddly annoyed to be getting good positives 4 days later. I just wish I knew for definite what was going on, I know no one can tell me that but just wondering if anyone has experienced similar and what the outcome was?

Is there any hope? Positives but bleeding.

Hi op!
When I had my chemical my line didn't progress at all... It stated pretty much a squinter for about a week and then stopped showing up. It's a fertilized egg which hasn't implanted so there shouldn't be an increase in HCG which would make you line darker.
I also heard that you're more fertile after a pregnancy which could be why you got pregnant right away.
I would keep testing and schedule for a blood test to be sure.
Tentative congratulations, op!!

@VixFromThe6ix Thank you so much for replying! I've googled everything I possibly could about chemicals, but it's so much better to hear from someone whose experienced it. Although I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I'm just so confused and a horrible mixture of hopeful and terrified, especially with the bleeding. EPU won't see me until Tuesday at the earliest, which I know isn't that far away but I'm driving myself crazy over here. I've still got an abundance of tests left, so I guess I'll see. I just hate the waiting!
Thank you for sharing your experience Flowers

Waiting, I found, was the worst. Not knowing. I felt like I'm living in a cloud, so I completely understand how you feel!
Hope your bleeding lessens and you doctors appointment goes well.
Positive thoughts your way 💕

With gentleness, I'm surprised EPU have agreed to see you. Whether or not this conception is successful, they wont be able to see anything. Some bleeding can be implantation esp if stopping. Your only option really is to keep testing every couple of days (doing it multiple times a day wont give any helpful info) and if I keeps getting stronger, its sticking! Wishing you all the best

Lovingangels · 19/06/2021 16:18

@thedaydreambelievers They'll see me for bloods, not for scanning. They're the only place to get beta hcg tests done where I am. GP's etc tend not to do it and refer you to EPU instead.
The bleeding has been so red and heavier than I would expect for implantation. But then I've never had it before so I have no idea! I think the miscarriage is the culprit behind my obsessive testing, realistically I know I should wait a few days but I can't seem to stop myself 🤦‍♀️ Thank you though!

That's great @Lovingangels - apologies for my confusion, our local EPU wont offer hcg testing at all.

I understand- I have experienced pregnancy loss and I'm sure I'd be the same in your shoes

So I'm a serial poas'er and thought I'd dip my last week indicator test before bed as I got a good line on my cheap easy@home which I haven't had before. I done one yesterday which was not pregnant, and now this?! It wouldn't magically go from not pregnant to 1-2 weeks if I was miscarrying again, right?! I've been bleeding so much that I just can't imagine a pregnancy surviving it but this has put a little pang of hope through me 😬

I had some heavier than expected bleeding at 14dpo with good strong positives. Last two days then vanished and all appears to be progressing fine now at 6+3. Good luck.

Hi there. I bled with my son. I was so worried but it was nothing apparently. Just him settling in his new home for 9 months He's 9 now Smile fingers and toes crossed for you

Lovingangels · 20/06/2021 07:16

@Noodella18 @imdreamiesmum Thank you both! I have no bleeding at all this morning, its just disappeared overnight which is odd! I'm feeling hopeful but so scared to be too hopeful incase it all goes wrong 😩
