So confused by opks. Decided to try these ones this month but I've no idea what they're actually telling me! Had EWCM and very high cervix the day after the test that's showing as peak so feel like maybe that wasn't peak. Am I taking them at the wrong times? Getting something else wrong? Thanks

You will usually ovulate in the 12 to 48 hours after a peak on an OPK. I find that the soft high open wet (SHOW) cervix often coincides with ovulation, so it sounds as though you ovulated on CD13. Congrats, you're probably in your TWW!

Ha what your describing sounds spot on! It's unusual to ovulate the same day as the peak, most people ovulate 1-2 days later so it sounds like you ovulated the following day - perfect!

Thank you for your replies. Still new to all this! Should it be back to high readings again now though? The last 2 days in a row I've had high. Me and DH both worn out from dtd... never thought I'd hear him say he's had enough 😂

Today's opk was definitely more positive than cd12... Maybe I just ovulate late?! Possibly that's more where we've been going wrong 😂 I'm not sure ive got the energy for any more bd'ing this cycle 😴

Hi OP, it may be worth testing three or four times a day with the test strips from CD 12 onwards looking at your levels, from 12 noon up until 8 or 9pm to catch your surge. If you can hold your urine and not pee in between it would give a true reading. LH builds up throughout the day, unlike pregnancy tests that do better with FMU. They also suggest you continue to test after your peak to see levels come down so you can see you've ovulated, esp helpful if you don't BBT (temp check) Wishing you all the best in your journey! Sending Baby dust X

Thanks @beachdaysareourfamily I'll try testing more regularly later on in the day. I'm a teacher so rarely get chance to pee more than a couple of times in the day anyway so hopefully the reading would be accurate. Cd17 was first pee of the day so am hoping that dtd on cd16 and cd17 has us covered! Will aim for tomorrow too! Thank you for your advice 💐

I agree CD 17 looks like a great positive for 10am and if levels stay low you've got your peak 😁 best of luck on your Ttc journey x
