Starting this as a new thread as I'm a bit beside myself. I just got this very faint line on a clearblue but also a bit of blue has seeped across on the bottom and I don't know if that would affect things. Never done one of these please and my BFF thinks it a BFP but I'm unsure! HELP!

Op how long after taking the test did the line ans ink appear?

Bellasblankexpression · 18/06/2021 13:04

Is that the test that should form a cross in the window or just have a single line if you’re positive?

Sunshinesusan60 · 18/06/2021 13:09

Not sure about the seepage but that looks like a definite line to me.

SunAndSea37 · 18/06/2021 13:10

@Bellasblankexpression

It's the single line one, not the cross

@Bluntness100

3 mins! Actually set the timer for this one

If it were me I'd be suspicious of the seeping and do another one with FMU tomorrow. A pink dye one like a FRER.

Bluntness100 · 18/06/2021 13:12

I think I’d do another one too op to be safe. It could be a positive or it could be a faulty test,p and an evap line.

Undervaluedandsad · 18/06/2021 13:13

Looks positive to me.

SunAndSea37 · 18/06/2021 13:14

thank you so much. Sod's law I got offered a new job today! So I really need to know!

Does it definitely need to be FMU? or might afternoon work if I can hold it...sorry for TMI!

PurplePansy05 · 18/06/2021 13:16

Well I think it's both, positive and flooded. Retest tomorrow with first morning urine OP and dip it in as per the instructions. I'd use a pot and keep it in as long as required, not longer. You'll avoid flooding this way.

PurplePansy05 · 18/06/2021 13:17

Yes, test with FMU. If you're early on testing in the afternoon may still give you a false negative.

theconstantheadache · 18/06/2021 13:20

Or a digital one. I swear by these

Bellasblankexpression · 18/06/2021 13:54

First response with FMU - pink dye - are very good and reliable in my experience

mumof23188 · 18/06/2021 14:13

Hold aslong as you can and test again. I got my BFP at 4pm in the afternoon. Lots of ladies get positives in the afternoon/evening. Try not to drink lots. Good luck ☺️

Job has nothing to do with it (assuming it wouldn't be unsafe to do whilst pregnant), make the right decision irrespective of being pregnant or not.

Not to be a harbinger of doom but 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage so it's not a foregone conclusion.

SunAndSea37 · 18/06/2021 16:09

@larrythelizard no you’re right, may not even stick if it is positive anyway.

Job is not as a human cannonball so would probs be ok Smile

larrythelizard · 18/06/2021 17:42

Then take the job @SunAndSea37 and hope for a line tomorrow!

SunAndSea37 · 19/06/2021 10:05

Thanks for all your advice everyone. I think the results this morning are pretty conclusive!
