Ovulation on CD 51?!

Really hoping for some advice!

I came off pill in December and wanted my cycle to settle before TTC. I averaged 32 days for 5 months, although last one was 37 days.

Started ttc in may, and now I’m on CD 51 with no period and 4 bfn.

So decided to start clear blue ovulation tests from around CD45 (more just to see what happens.)

I’ve had clear circles so far as expected but this morning it was a flashy face!! Is it possible I’m ovulating really late on CD51?!

I’m hoping so because it means I’m normal lol!

Flashing means a rise in oestrogen that could precede ovulation - so your body is certainly gearing up for it but if you're unlucky it won't happen (this will probably not be the first time its tried in the last 50 days).

If you are then that's great - def jump on OH just in case.

Best is if you start temping to figure out if you actually are ovulating. Don't worry too much though, it's common to have wonky cycles off the pill.

Do you think the CB result is accurate as I’ve randomly started testing on CD45, or does it not matter when you start if you don’t know your cycle length?

It should be accurate from what I gather! the cycle day recommendations are for bog standard cycles just so you start testing too late I think.

So now on CD 59, and no static face and no period. Thoughts?

Update on me.

Was about to give up ovulation testing after 9 days of flashing smiley on a cb, and a stark white negative on ICs yesterday, I thought I may as well use the remaining sticks I have left (2!)...and today I got a static smiley and a dark line on opk! On day 10 of flashy smileys, and on cycle day 61!

DTD today for sure and just feel so much better knowing my body is working.

Only thing I thought, is the quality of egg affected after this long? Seems a silly thought but did cross my mind!
