Just curious, does anyone watch Brooklyn 99? I was watching an episode last night and it was about Amy and Jake struggling to conceive. I was quite glad to see a tv show highlighting how tough it is... until I realised they were complaining about how it's been 6 months of BFN - that is not long! 🤣

@paintfairy I wish I hadn't turned off my RHR on my Fitbit when I got the BFP as it would have been interesting to see if there was any real change around that time. I was too worried it would stress me out. I turned it back on after the 12 week scan and I'm sitting at the exact same RHR as I had on average before TTC, so absolutely no increase!

@2020mission I've come to the conclusion mine tells me nothing. 🤣 Sometimes to doesn't even drop until after AF arrives. So it's not exactly giving me a heads up on anything. The after ovulation rise seems relatively correct but not much else. I've stopped reading into it.

@Somatronic I mean it looked nothing like a second line should but easy get carried away! Leave the testing another couple of days if it will only upset you, hope af doesn't turn up though x

Oh dear @Manifestingbaby, I got all excited there and then bam! Bloody lint! Must have been awful, but it did make me laugh a little!

Thanks @blackcurrantqueen, still feeling a bit miserable about it though especially as acupuncturist did points for nausea! How far along will you be when you have your scan? You had one at 7 weeks right? I read that after 6 weeks of heartbeat is detected then risk of miscarriage drops significantly so try not to worry too much ❤️

Thanks @becarefuloutthere, I’ve had it literally from around 10dpo which is crazy but slowly getting worse. Only retched last few mornings and couple of times in afternoon but empty stomach so no actual sick thank goodness! How are you feeling?

What @Juno231?! NO TTC? Is that because of fertility clinic?

When will you have your next IUI @paintfairy?

@Haiyaa I'm not sure. My original intention was next cycle. But AF is due at the weekend and my arm appointment isn't until Tuesday (which will give me an idea of what's happening with that). I'm taking painkillers still too and I've no idea how long I'll need them for. Which obviously is a problem as they tell you nothing but paracetamol after insemination. 🤷‍♀️

@Minster2012 hope not, I don't give much away on it and is in private anyway, but last time I changed countries to run away from him, he's relentless

@Haiyaa because of the new job! Realistically I'll start there end of Sep with my 3 months notice and then depending on their mat leave policy I probably have to be there X amount of months before I can get pregnant.

@Haiyaa i mean I laughed too. Cursed first but then laughed, second lines seem mythical to me at this stage!

@Manifestingbaby hm I have a couple of things. A solly baby wrap that I found dirt cheap on ebay but normally costs like £60. Plus a few books and a baby gro purely for when I tell OH about the BFP. But that's it. In hindsight I'm glad I haven't bought more seeing as I'm barren lol. You?

I made it to 12weeks woo hoo! Scan next week feels like the longest wait ever.
I woke up early as usual and I felt really good and full of energy. I’m in bed having a lay down now.
@Minster2012 we sold our house last week and our offer got accepted for the new house. It was a bit of faff and we ended up with a different buyer.

@Haiyaa I felt sick from 12dpo and tested 14dpo, it's eased up since yesterday so I hope it doesn't come bk with a vengeance now! 🙈I've had no sickness either, just the nausea but I'm only 5wks1day so still plenty of time for that 😂
@lucyrp you poor thing with the car, that would've made me cry too!
@Juno231 ah ok, so you'll stop ttc for at least 3 months then?
@2020mission I've seen that episode n it annoyed me too 😂 but at least they highlighted that it wasn't one month and you're done! They made out like you could test the next day as well, which annoyed me 😆

@Juno231 thank god I'm not alone! Same just a few bits but it's always so tempting. I have a lovely babygro set that was supposed to be a gift for a friend's baby but I fell for so kept and bought her something else 😂 I had to seriously retrain myself from buying a maternity dress last week but i did buy some baby clothes. I tell OH it's part of keeping the faith!

@becarefuloutthere I’ve never been so tired. Between that and studying for my exam. It all caught up with me yesterday. I spent the entire day in bed sleeping. I’m not looking forward to moving and packing.

Haha @becarefuloutthere the episode clearly wasn't written by an expert in TTC! I also noticed she was standing taking her BBT fully dressed... should have been lying in bed half asleep 😴 my nausea and poor appetite properly kicked in at about 7 weeks - hopefully you'll be lucky like me and never be sick. I was ok if I kept forcing in small amounts of food regularly. I still don't feel 100% at 13 weeks but it's definitely improved slightly.

@Juno231 how are you going to manage to stop yourself from TTC 😅 is this going to be like @Vil10 and be more of a not trying but not really stopping? Hopefully you won't have a long wait until you can start in the new job. It will be great when you end up in a better job soon and pregnant not long after!

I haven't bought a thing yet at 13 weeks but my mum bought some baby grows the minute I had the 12 week scan. I'm scared to jinx it 😬 will wait until the 20 week scan I think.

But 10dpo is still early, so keep some faith🤞🏼 also on the buying things, I've never actually bought anything but I have loads of house pins on my Pinterest and have a nursery pin too, I know exactly how I'd want the nursery etc, I follow loads of cute small businesses for baby clothes on Instagram and love Zara baby clothes but I haven't tortured myself enough to buy anything yet, I think it would make me emotional😂

Popping in to say hi xx not much happening here. Just a whirlwind of feeding and Nappies 🤦‍♀️ he's so cute but god it's non stop! I had forgotten how full on it all is. I haven't been dressed for days and first af has arrived. I also forgot what a bitch that was 🤣 the last thing I needed was hormones piled on top of hormones lol my 17 year old ds told me he was actually afraid I would eat him the other day 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣 (messy room and laziness, u get the drift 🤷‍♀️)

Trying to keep up with u all but this bus is like the one in the film 'speed's with keanu reeves 🤣🤣

@Juno231 would you wait for a mat policy to kick in then rather than just going ahead? Like if the ivf comes in? Totally get the not getting pregnant on your notice/just joining. You'll get to use the gro 😊 wouldn't it be nice to know if new firm does ivf appointment leave?! But I guess you wouldn't want to tell them. 🤔

@Manifestingbaby I bought stuff when I was pregnant both times, so you'd think I'd have learnt last year that getting pregnant is just one hurdle. I kid myself I can give them to friends who are expecting but I don't cos I bought them for us & it's too hard. I only bought stuff I can sell on of it doesn't happen. What about you? Oh just read, I also bought wrap dresses in the spring sales as I've always worn them but they are great for maternity too so I don't mind that, I've already worn them. I think it can be beneficial to have something to aim for. To be fair on your line it's like you DID ACTUALLY manifest something 🤪

@becarefuloutthere, @2020mission see I think if I was actually pregnant I probably wouldn't buy things out of superstition whereas not being pregnant I feel like I'm willing it to happen. Or perhaps I've lost the plot at this stage. @Vil10 you are more restrained just pinning ideas. I think because I already have bits kept from dc it's easier to just add a few new bits. God hope 10dpo is just too early. It's one of those months where the timing would be fab so of course I'm hoping just that little bit more.

@Catherinettc OMG I just lolled about AF getting you! Are you using protection? Or is it just your kids using protection from you?!

@vil10 @2020mission @becarefuloutthere I feel weird about putting it on hold tbh, I feel like my life has revolved around it for the past 18 months! But it's better doing it now than eg 6 months ago as at least I know all the tests are done and I've still not managed to get pregnant. Odds are super low that it would happen naturally in the next however many months anyway. So at least I gave it my all first rather than feeling like I left it as unfinished business? I'm happy to give it a break until IVF kicks in - hopefully I can ask to delay it a bit if they surprised me with anything earlier than expected.

@Manifestingbaby haha so actually I have a cute red baby grow I bought for someone else's baby that I ended up keeping for my own future baba... that other baby is starting school in Sep which is depressing though! Haven't bought any maternity clothes though!
