OvuSense users thread anyone?

I'm just wondering if there are any other OvuSense users on Mumsnet?

I'm on cycle 5 with it now but I've only ovulated once, last cycle, after I started taking a concoction of supplements!

Does anybody fancy a thread where we can obsessively dissect each other's charts?

I was an Ovusense user but I am now 5 weeks pregnant.

Oh I'm thinking of buying one! Although I haven't actually ovulated yet after coming off the pill which is very depressing. @Unicornish what was the concoction of supplements that made you ovulate? I'm interested!

Whirling not ovulating is very dispiriting. I'm taking:

Infolic alpha twice a day.
Smartypants prenatals (they contain omega 3 as well)
Vitamin D (high dose)
Agnus Castus twice a day
Maca root
Starflower oil
Magnesium

It is costing a fortune and I'm constantly popping pills! But this combination did work for me. Best of luck with trying to get your body to ovulate.

And on the OvuSense front - I do recommend it. Temping never worked for me until I tried it.

Hey! I’ve OvuSense but I haven’t properly used it!!! Used it for one month and used opk! Got my peak opk on the Wednesday but OvuSense said I ovulated on the sat 🤷‍♀️ My period arrived 2 weeks later on the Wednesday. I would how ever say that I wasn’t using the ovesense consistently so I think that’s why it was off! Defo gonna use it this month though!
Do your DP’s know you use it?? Xx

Hey Springflower. It is interesting what you say about the OPKs - I am on the facebook group and they really discourage people from using them. I wonder if it is because of this discrepancy? I am slightly sceptical about their claims of 99% accuracy but it was helpful for me in realising that I actually wasn't ovulating at all.

My DP knows I use mine. He is a bit of a nerd though so likes looking at the chart!

I was trying to initially rationalise that opk only show the surge and o can happen after but the fact my AF arrived 2 weeks later?

Did you have an idea you weren’t ovulating??
I am defo gonna use it this cycle! Just waiting on AF to disappear 🤣🤣

Lol that’s great he is so in to it!!! My DP thinks we are being relaxed about it and not tracking 🤣🤣 he knows I occasionally use the opk but defo not OvuSense or he will think im mad!! Xx

Yes it seems likely that it was out for you. Hopefully it'll be more accurate this month!

I had a mmc last autumn and had been ttc since then without any luck. My cycles have also been all over the place so I was pretty sure something was off. I think it was general hormonal mayhem caused by the miscarriage. But OvuSense confirmed that I wasn't ovulating. It was so exciting last month when it confirmed ovulation!

Something DH always comments on is the irony that it actually looks like a massive sperm!
