Long cycle and no ovulation?

Hello,

I was hoping someone may be able to help me please?

If you have a cycle longer than 40 days, does this really mean you aren't ovulating? I read online that anything over 35 days means you aren't ovulating but not sure how accurate this is.

Has anyone ever had this issue and if so, what steps did you take to overcome?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @JScarlett

I dont think it necessarily means no ovulation...in some cases it can mean no ovulation that cycle but I think it can also just mean delayed ovulation. I am on CD53 of ttc#1, first cycle. My last cycle was 34 days so I would like to follow to hear advice/stories from long cycled women if you don't mind!Smile

A cycle over 40 days doesn’t automatically mean you’re not ovulating.

I was having long cycles, around 6/7 weeks, and was worried I wasn’t ovulating. So I started temping and doing OPKs and found I was ovulating around CD30-35 days…. but at least I WAS ovulating.
