LH surge for 3 days

Hi ladies,

I've been tracking ovulation with opks and using the clear blue pink sticks detecting your most fertile 2 days. I've always only had 2 smiley faces maximum as the box states. I got my first strong line on a cheap opk Thursday as well as a smiley face. I also got another and smiley yesterday - I tested again today and have another strong line and smiley for the 3rd day. This hasn't happened to me before. Has this happened to anyone else? X

I had 5 days last cycle 🙈 usually less than a day of positives

@firsttimemummy321 Were you using the pink I clearblues? I've only ever had 2 Days of smileys and strong positives so weird! Dtd last night and hopefully tonight there's still a chance too! 😂 I guess the more smileys the better x

I would nearly always get 2 days of smileys in the pink test - I always stop testing after that so who knows if I’d get a third! I usually get my BBT rise the morning after the 2nd smiley

@Hopefulhedgehog Does that mean you ovulate then? Is the egg still hanging around at that point I'm unsure whether tonight is too late? Eek x

@Hopefulhedgehog I'm not a bbt tester I am yet to resort to that so a bit clueless x

Judging from bbt I must ovulate at some point in day 2 or overnight that night. I think you time from beginning if surge so 24-36 hours from first smiley. I would definitely still DTD today just in case and even if you have already ovulated there could still be an egg waiting!
