First period after the pill

Hi all, newbie here Smile came off my pill 2 months ago and started my first period since then two days ago. Is the first period after coming off the pill always the worst? I don’t remember them being this bad! We aren’t telling any family members or friends that we are going to ttc. Any advice for a newbie? ❤️

Hello! Oh yes! My first cycles after the pill were horrible! If you don't feel like sharing then that's your choice. Depending on the family dynamics in some cases it would be better (not having the stress of them asking you every day "so are you pregnant yet?")

Good luck and wishing you the best on this journey!

@PolkaDot12345 I know you don't want to hear that but they stayed that painful for me! I don't think my AF were painful before I was in the pill, but I know they are now. Magnesium helped me though.

Thanks both ❤️ Glad I’m not the only one! Yeah we don’t want the added pressure of others knowing and constantly asking questions!

My first period after coming off the pill was very light! And I only had one and was pregnant next cycle!

Mine were longer and all over the place until I conceived 🥴.

I was on the pill over 15yrs. When I stopped, my periods re-started as before! Regular 29day cycle, no pain, heavier then lighter during the 6 days of bleeding- exactly as they were prior to starting the pill.
