@Slk3558 you're not alone in the anxiety I'm just trying to push it down as much as I can. Not long to go until your scan then, is that a private one you're waiting for? I've had mild cramping every now and again but anytime there's an extra painful twinge I think, this is it. Every time I get up especially in the morning I'm dreading to feel that gush of blood like during my period.. I just try to push it down as much as possible and accept that I can't control what will happen and I am doing whatever I can to make sure I'm healthy, happy, good mentally etc.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I feel better today thanks. Managed a hobble (jog/walk) this morning but I've got such a busy week at work with back to back meetings or working in between that if I talk for an hour I feel sick afterwards so am trying to take as many breaks as I can. But apart from tiredness and sore boobs am not feeling anything else which is good to manage.

I've been wearing sports like bras, bralettes during all of lockdown and after coming off my pill my boobs grew so I don't actually think I've got a normal bra that fits me anymore 😂 so I'm making do with bralettes for as long as I can. I wore a wired one recently for a day and it bruised my under boob and top of stomach!!! I had bruises there for days 🤣 your scan will be soon, that's exciting! I've booked a private one for 7 weeks.

@Marvellouslymadmum id love to see your work too. That's so cool, you must be able to control your hours when you work etc and a van is a brilliant idea, great way to get around issues that covid has caused. I've always loved the idea of doing a beauty or skincare course on the side but never looked into it seriously and when I did they sounded quite expensive / awkward to do same time as working full time. Maybe someday. Although I don't know if I want to do peoples nails 😂 I like getting my own done lol. But skincare stuff is interesting. Whenever I get sick of my current career 😅 (I'm a UX designer if anyone knows what that is)

Marvellouslymadmum · 22/06/2021 15:21

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 everyone I’ve spoken to about it seems to think it’s a good idea so I’m hoping it’ll be popular!

@choccrumpet yes that’s the idea, with my son I need to be fairly flexible so I’ve been working for myself for years! My courses were great I have a level 3 in nails, level 3 beauty and level 3 make up artistry and I did them all part time over a few months. Daytime or evening 1-2 days a week. All funded as well so I could get a student loan for each and pay back gradually. I wasn’t sure about doing other people’s nails until I tried either. But it’s just really having a chat lol
I’ve no ide what a ux designer is 🤔
Trying to attach again as it won’t work from the app

Marvellouslymadmum · 22/06/2021 15:22

It worked! That's a pic of the different kind of stuff I can do, I do normal nails too lol

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2021 15:46

@Marvellouslymadmum that is seriously amazing!! Do you free paint those? I've never seen anything like it.

@choccrumpet you bruised your stomach wearing a bra 🙀 you poor thing! I know the stretchy bralettes are so nice, I've no idea how I'll go back to a normal bra full time when back in work clothes. Well done on the run!

Marvellouslymadmum · 22/06/2021 15:53

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 aww thanks yes all freehand, I can't be doing with ste ails or stickers. This way I can do absolutely anything I like!

Slk3558 · 22/06/2021 16:07

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s amazing you’re so talented!!

choccrumpet · 22/06/2021 17:56

@Marvellouslymadmum they are amazing! I can see why you're into it, you are so good at it. I love the being in control of your work and hours aspect too.

I basically improve / design the user experience of a product or service or website etc, can be anything. How someone uses that website / product to make it as easy and intuitive as possible. I work for a HR company so am designing HR software.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it was probably a tight fit hence the bruising but it completely put me off from trying again 🤣 I won't be able to get out bralettes. I'll have to get measured properly at some point but with them growing it seems a bit silly to now plus I'm still wfh. Yeah I don't know how I'll manage that either. Even then I'd probably still try to get away with bralettes

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2021 18:55

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm shocked at the freehand, you must be naturally very good at art.

@choccrumpet I've been a fan of bralettes and Lycra since lockdown began, I deteriorated scarily quickly on the appearance front 😂
Sounds like an interesting career! I hadn't heard of that before.

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 22/06/2021 19:58

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm still in tracksuit bottoms and comfies, jeans are still a big no 😅 so yeah I'm completely the same.
Yeah it's interesting enough, not a lot of people know what it is but it's more common than you realise. A lot of companies that produce a product or some sort of website would have a user experience team.

Marvellouslymadmum · 22/06/2021 20:51

@choccrumpet @Slk3558 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you, I just basically taught myself to draw when I was young, I wanted to do it so kept going until I could!

@choccrumpet do you enjoy it? Sounds like it can be quite diverse.

I've never found a bralette that fits me nicely yet and now we can't try anything on in shops it's a nightmare! I need new bras at the moment, my underwear poked through and jabbed me the other day on one of my last nice ones 😑 but I had to go in the shop and hold them up and guess and then buy three and hope 😂

choccrumpet · 22/06/2021 21:16

@Marvellouslymadmum that's super cool 🤗
Yeah I enjoy it most of the time. I don't love it, I'm sure I'll do something else at some point but it's creative and something different so I do like it for the most part.

Yes shopping is a bit of a pain at the moment. I've heard m&s do nice ones but haven't gotten around to actually trying them. To be honest I got a pack from primark that are similar to sports bras and just wear them most of the time. Otherwise ASOS is good as they have free returns and lots of brands to choose from although I know online shopping isn't everyone's cup of tea, I get most of my clothes from there.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2021 21:52

@Marvellouslymadmum I think from previous discussions, you're more blessed than me in the bust department! There's not a massive amount to support for me 😂

Yeah it's really hard to shop atm. I've ended up buying and keeping clothes that aren't quite right / don't fit quite right purely because I need some clothes and I can't be bothered to keep ordering and sending back and re-ordering

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 22/06/2021 22:41

@choccrumpet I don't mind online shopping and sending things back I just find it a bit if a faff especially as I usually have to try on 9 to find one that fits lol

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 oh if I don't have good support it's a disaster zone - my partner used to ask me why I don't go braless in bed, after a number of death stares he's stopped asking now 😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/06/2021 09:26

@Marvellouslymadmum it's a huge faff isn't it! I hate online shopping unless I'm sure on sizes and fit of a brand. Yep I def don't need a bra at night 😂 was thinking about it after reading that Liz Hurley wears one 24 hours a day (except for her photos I'm guessing!) and credits that for her perky firm boobs.

@choccrumpet I think morning sickness has possibly kicked in or I've got a bug. Feeling so awful today. I've got a teeth cleaning booked in for tomorrow morning and I just don't think there's any way I can go if I feel like I do now

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 23/06/2021 09:35

@Marvellouslymadmum @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I actually don't mind online shopping as long as there's a good returns policy. But yeah posting off can be a faff. ASOS actually warned me a few years ago that I was making too many returns, I was appalled, they offer a free return so what if I find it extremely difficult to find jeans that fit me and actually use their returns service 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was actually so upset as I've been a long time ASOS customer. Have heard nothing since though but it makes me nervous to return things sometimes!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 oh no you poor thing, I don't blame you, the thought of having someone do something in my mouth whilst you're feeling crap is making me feel sick just thinking about it 🤣 it could be a bug but probably most likely morning sickness? Hopefully it doesn't stay for too long. I actually don't know what helps with it, different things for different people is what I've heard. Hope you're not feeling too bad!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/06/2021 09:40

@choccrumpet oh yeah I've heard that they ban people who make too many returns - it is crazy because you do need to try different shapes and lengths with jeans especially!

I'm being pathetic, you and @Slk3558 have already been feeling poorly and crappy. I'm lucky it's only kicked in now. How're you feeling?

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 23/06/2021 09:41

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I mean I don't think mine are amazingly perky but they're pretty firm and certainly not doing too bad lol

@choccrumpet I'm terrible at remembering to return things!

Nothing helped my sickness other than being sick lol

choccrumpet · 23/06/2021 09:55

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 BAN!? 😱 I definitely haven't been banned... but it's a bit silly if they offer returns and people use that service genuinely it makes me feel crap, I'm not taking advantage of it, it's not my fault jeans are so hard to find.

No don't be silly, if you're feeling crap you're feeling crap. I've had twinges of what I think is nausea but it's hard to tell if it's in my head or not. Still no constipation over here either, im tired of needing to go 😅 I'm okay, I've got to do training after normal work today and am due to finish at 11pm so it's a suuper long day I'm not looking forward to and feel like I'll struggle because of tiredness. I had a few moments of running to the bathroom because I thought I was about to get sick but it didn't happen so again hard to tell if it's in my head or not.

@Marvellouslymadmum you must be doing something right 🤣

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/06/2021 16:50

@Marvellouslymadmum unhip you must be doing something right for sure 😂 maybe I need to keep my bralette on overnight too!

@choccrumpet oh no you poor thing, having to dash off to the loo. You must be feeling very sick. Good luck for the training tonight, 11pm 🙀

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 23/06/2021 18:57

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm not actually feeling sick it was just a moment of feeling it and it passed as quickly as it came so not sure what it was.
Saw on the other thread that you had a scan, sounds like everything was looking well?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/06/2021 19:07

@choccrumpet I've got the sea bands on and for me I think they help. Still hope tonight goes okay, can't imagine tiredness helps.

Yes I booked a private scan, because I had some spotting earlier, and automatically thought the worst. It's measuring 7+1 and had a good heart beat. She could see a little 1cm pool of blood on the scan, so I might have more spotting 🤷‍♀️ Can still go wrong, but feel a bit better to see the heartbeat

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 23/06/2021 19:53

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm snacking so that's helping me stay awake 🤣 halfway through now, into the more tired stage.

Glad to hear everything looked good and that you're feeling better. I can only imagine how nerve wrecking it must be.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/06/2021 23:22

@choccrumpet hope the sickness isn't too bad for you and the training goes ok!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 so glad you had your scan and everything looks good, I think it's so reassuring that you can easily book private scans now and they're not expensive! It wasn't really a thing as far as I know when I had my teenagers 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've felt really rough today, just fluey and my asthmas been playing up. Even took a Covid test just Incase even though I've had both my jabs but no Covid so that's good and feeling a bit better now so not sure what that was! Still patiently waiting for af to show and temps getting lower every day so she's deffo on her way

choccrumpet · 24/06/2021 08:57

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm feeling thank you, no sickness just tiredness 🤣 survived last night but struggled getting up this morning.

I felt like that a few weeks ago and also took a covid test to be sure. So strange. How are you feeling this morning? I guess that's the benefit of temping, you know that your period will be on its way rather than get surprised by it.

Slk3558 · 24/06/2021 09:03

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that’s amazing you saw the heartbeat!! I’ve heard a lot of women get that spotting due to some blood near the sac but normally resolves itself I think . Congrats on seeing the heartbeat x

I’ve been a bit quiet last few days as the nausea hit me hard, lost my appetite and gone off everything, no vomiting yet but constantly feeling sick.
