Hello! My first month using this rather than the cheaper pink version and i'm a bit confused

I started testing yesterday at CD8 and on CD9 I have a flashing smiley so it's rising. I don't usually ovulate until CD16-19 though so should we be DTD already? My husband works nights which is a bit tricky when I work days, otherwise we'd just be doing SMEP! Is it possible that the pink sticks have been getting it wrong for 18 months or is it usual to get a flashing smiley so soon before ovulation? Thanks for any help

You can get a flashing smiley a good few days before a static. This cycle I had four days of flashing before I got my peak.

Hmm I would have to get at least 7 days of flashing, unless I ovulate early this month

In this cycle i've had six days of flashing smileys so far, by coincidence I'm also doing a monitored cycle so lots of scans which means I know I haven't ovulated yet

If I remember correctly, I think the instructions say a third of women (or something similar) get 5-9 days of flashing smileys before a peak so you could still be very normal 😉. Do you monitor your temperature? It can confirm ovulation post ovulation so it that matches your peak face it would give you a pretty good idea if what's going on.

Hello hope you don't mind me joining and sharing my story to date..
I purchased the clear blue dual hormone ovulation kit.. I started at cd 9 as I have a cycle that's usually bang on 31 Give or take a day or 2 either side.. try and bare with me lol
So..
Cd9 - O
Cd10 - flash 🙂
Cd11 - flash 🙂 DTD am
Cd12 - flash 🙂 DTD am
Cd13 - flash 🙂 DTD am/pm static!
Cd14 - static obvs - DTD and that evening I had ovulation cramps.
TWW begins..
10DPO am had a BFN
10DPO pm I started spotting
11DPO spotted all day vvv light.
Currently on 12DPO spotting finished..
I think the dual has been so accurate with me and I'm holding off testing until Sat am - 14DPO

@Dannii892 eeeep good luck, sounds good! I had 6 days of flashing, turns out I ovulated on CD15! 2DPO so a way to go yet. Fingers crossed for you!

@rathernotshare it's crazy isn't it.. I was about a week off from when I thought I ovulated.. but the cb has been so spot on! 2dpo how exciting!
I started spotting again today v.odd I've never spotted in my life and I've had vvv light cramps again.. 2 days until AF .. fingers crossed she stays away lol xx

@Dannii892 I started pregnacare this month so think that might've shifted my cycle, happy with it though, feeling positive 😊 sounds very hopeful for you! I'm the same, never once spotted in my life!

@rathernotshare I havent started any vitamins just yet.. I will once and if I get a bfp .. just so nerve racking nit knowing what's going on with my body .. all this spotting like what does it meeeaaannnn! Ha x

Hey, I fell out of my car and hit the floor pretty hard (very bruised toosh) and started spotting again and had (TMI) bright red bleeding and quite a lot of clotting ☹ .. so im out.. how are you? Any news? X

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that ☹️ no news yet, I'm only 5 or 6 DPO and I've ran out of cheapies so holding off!
