Hi all

I am TTC and have been using the Clearblue ovulation kit the past 4 months. I have been ovulating at about day 24 each month (unfortunately I have a very big cycle of almost 40 days). I usually start testing at about day 16 and get flashy faces for about 8 days before I get a static face.
This month I started testing at Day 19 with a new kit and I got straight away a static face. Is that possible? I thought that the kit needs at least one day to get a benchmark of your hormones of where you stand before it gives you the next day the reality of ovulating or high fertility days.
Has anyone had the same previously? Any thoughts whether I was ovulating or do you think this kit was a faulty one?
I have had 3 miscarriages in a row so I am really wanting this next pregnancy and I am now so confused whether I should trust this test.

I got a static smiley on the very first test. And I got pregnant then too so it was correct! Smile

This is so reassuring, thanks so much for taking the time to write to me! How do you know that you definitely ovulated that day? I mean, did you just try this one day to concive? I hope I am not getting into too many details; no need to reply to me if you do not want to :) Did your pregnancy progress well? I hope all is going well!

So we DTD the day before, the day I got that Static Smiley, and for 2 more days, so I don't know for sure, but no reason to not believe that was the peak like it said. I am currently 6 weeks 🤞

Good luck with all :)
And again, thank you for taking the time to write to me.
I will update this post if I get a BFP (I really hope so!!)

Good luck @Lilipa!!

14 days have passed since that ovulation day and I indeed got a faint positive. Because I've had 3 recurrent miscarriages I'm worried the faint line is not a good sign.
How's your pregnancy going, hope all is good!

Congratulations! I hope this one is a sticky for you. I can see the line without clicking on your photo to make it bigger, so I don't think it's that faint. I understand your worries though, I've had an awful few days..
On Sunday I started cramping and (bright red) bleeding (not just spotting, and had to wear a pad, rather than just a liner). I had a scan booked already, for today. So for the past few days I convinced myself it didn't look good, and was anxiously waiting for the scan to confirm my fears. Pleased to say that today we saw our tiny baby with a heartbeat!Smile

Did the line show within the time they tell you to wait?

Doesn't look faint to me, congrats! I just started using this kit this month and got a static smiley a lot earlier than I thought I was ovulating using cheapies 🤞

Lilipa · 23/06/2021 19:53

Thank you again for your message! Yes, the line showed about 10 seconds after the first line showed.
I'm very glad to read about your scan result! I hope the good news will continue for you!!
I'll keep you posted regarding the progress of my pregnancy, I really hope it'll go well this time!

@rathernotshare do you mean that the cheaper tests showed that you ovulated later than the Clearblue showed?

OP posts:
rathernotshare · 23/06/2021 20:01

@Lilipa yes! Cheapies or just the regular circle / smile clearblues have had me down at CD18-19 or even 20 but the static/flashing ones showed me peaking at CD15! Could be a coincidence but I've not seen ovulation that early in 18 months of testing

Lilipa · 24/06/2021 07:08

Today I got an even fainter line... I'm not sure what this is all about. Is this what they call chemical pregnancy? I know it's early, but do I need a scan at some point or do I ignore these lines once I get my period?
