First period after mini pill finally - ovulation test advice please

Finally got my first period after stopping the mini pill 5 weeks ago, can anyone give me advice on when to use ovulation tests now please?

When to start, how many to take, what time of day etc?

I conceived straight off the mini pill- about 7 weeks after stopping but with no intervening period. From what I understand, periods and ovulation can be whacky for months after you come off them, so I'd advise having sex every other day; gives you a 100% chance of the sperm being where it needs to be when it needs to be there, unlike relying on a test which can have false negatives and false positives.
