Hello,

Has anyone had their vaccine?

If so, has this had any impact on your TTC journey so far, e.g impacted cycle?

Thanks in advance x

I had the Pfizer vaccine at the beginning of may and now my period, which is usually a regular 30-31 day cycle is a week late. I've had a number of negative pregnancy tests.
For me personally, I can't say that this is definitely due to the vaccine because I've also started taking pregnacare vitamins and the box says women have reported changes to their menstrual cycle after taking those. I guess there's no way of knowing for sure. Just hoping my period arrives soon so that we can move on to the next cycle of TTC.

I had the Pfizer vaccine a week last Monday on CD19. AF was due tomorrow but has started today, which isn't out of the ordinary for me. So can't say it's affected AF this month - will have to wait and see whether it affects ovulation in a couple of weeks x

I had Pfizer jab 1 in Feb and 2 in April and I had no change of cycle. I got pregnant end of May which was first month of trying.

I'm 25 and have had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine as I work for the NHS (second dose was in March). Had no change with my cycle, started my TTC in April and got my BFP this morning Grin

I had first Pfizer jab last Weds. AF was on time so will have to see how the next couple of months pan out. We start IVF next month so hoping there's no implications!

My cycle went crazy after coming off the pill in November. My regular 28 day cycle went up to 40 days at the beginning of the year. The last 2 months they came down to 30 so thought thing were getting back on track. Now I'm on day 35 and wondering if it's because of the vaccine which I had about 3 weeks ago. I'm holding off on doing a test for now to avoid the disappointment of a negative result. I don't feel AF coming on at all and feel no different in myself at all so would be surprised if I were pregnant.

I had the vaccine on May 14th. I should normally ovulate around day 22 but this time I didn’t ovulate til day 29. The only thing changed this cycle is that I had the vaccine but it could just be a coincidence!

Thank you so much for your replies everyone. I'm feeling a little torn about what to do for the best.

@jscarlett I'm struggling to decide what to do for the best. I've delayed my vaccine for so long because of ttc, but my workplace (health care) are making it mandatory for vaccines by the end of the year. I am contemplating having the vaccine this week (my cycle started today) so knowing I'm definitely not pregnant and then it's done. I feel slightly more reassured now that the vacs don't effect fertility. But I am worried about the implications on my cycles, especially as I have PCOS.
Did you decide to go for it?
