Worth taking a test?

Hi all,

TTC since Jan for #1 and still getting to grips with when (or if) I'm ovulating - I've got PCOS and cycle lengths about 35 days. Tried OPK (but then read that they aren't reliable with PCOS) and last month tried BBT but was measuring at different times (ranging from 5am to 9am so not reliable too.. so much to learn!)
Anyway - end of May I was experiencing a lot of morning sickness, sore boobs, abdominal cramps and breathlessness. I was then 3 days late for AF but then on Saturday started to bleed. It was pink and seemed to have clear stretchy fluid in it. Sunday was a similar story - filled a tampon and a pad but then yesterday it stopped completely... little bit of brown discharge when I wiped this morning and I've still got sore boobs and feel a bit nauseous (although I think that's just because I'm overthinking it..)

Worth taking a test?

Thanks all

Hi @Moonandstars2118

If the bleeding filled a tampon and pad then it's possibly too heavy to be implantation. However, maybe not! I'd leave it till tomorrow to test as if it was implantation, it'd take approx 3 days for HCG to reach detectable levels.

I have PCOS and average 35 day cycles too and OPKs work for me. My DS will be 1 in a few days and I'm currently TTC #2. Had late ovulation last month though so ended up with a 40 day cycle and just coming to the end of AF now. This will be cycle 2 for us.

Good luck x

Thanks @LifesAnItch for your reply, and so glad to hear that you've conceived with PCOS.
I ended up taking a test this morning and it was negative plus the symptoms that I had have gone now so think it was just particularly bad PMS!
I'll give the OPKs a try again this month, along with my BBT, some pre-conception supplements, fertility boosting foods AND relaxing ha.
Fingers crossed for you #2 as well :) x
