BFP and bleeding for 5 days??

I am wondering what is going on...

It's 19 days since my last period started. I have no idea of cycles as I have been breastfeeding DS1 the last 12 months and my periods only returned 2 months ago, but they were never regular cycles anyway.

Last Wednesday I started bleeding, not as heavy as my period usually is but enough to need a tampon. I also had bleeding for two days with DS1 so I just thought this time implantation bleeding again... but it hasn't stopped. I had a very definite positive line on the test.

Anyone have any experience of this?
Do I have to just wait for a scan?

When did you get your first positive test? You say it's 19 days since your last period started which would make it very u likely you'd have a positive yet (let alone a strong line) so I'd suspect that your last period wasn't actually a period and you were already pregnant then.
It can be Normal for some women to bleed in early pregnancy but it's always worth getting checked. If I was you I'd call my dr or the epu and see what they say 🤞🏻 for you

Thanks for your reply @firsttimemummy321. That positive test was done last Sunday morning. I did wonder if I just ovulated very early. Actually in my first pregnancy i was about 6 when i had the other symptoms (got the cold, congested nose, gassy, cramping, little bouts of nausea and strange taste in mouth).

If i were already pregnant should I be concerned about bleeding for 5 days?

With my DD my implant bleed went for 7 days! I just assumed it was my period and went on a winery tour! For my other 2 the implant bleed was only a day or two

Midwife said I should wait two weeks to see if another pregnancy test will show a change... Waiting to see if i have miscarried ...
Does anyone have any positive experiences of this?
