So if you know you ovulated, dtd in the fertile week and then 14 days later got AF what are possible reasons for not being successful?? Just curious. I'm a very inquisitive person.

There's only 20% chance of pregnancy each cycle so I just put it down to luck/chance. We've been ttc for 6 months, no known fertility issues.

Chances of conception every month are actually so slim , it amazes me that there are any children born at all! It's just sheer luck that conditions are perfect for fertilisation and implantation. Fingers crossed it happens for you soon

As I understand it, it also depends of the viability of each egg. Not every egg is good enough quality

See I think I'm going to sue my high school. They made out you had to be careful how you looked at a boy for fear of falling pregnant. I was once told genuinely that even if you shared a bath with a boy and weren't having sex, precum could survive in the water and swim inside you 😂 what the hell??? I did not know it was 20% chance each time!! Thanks guys!

@Fairy45 I know! But at the same time, I wouldn't want to teach my children any different 😆

Yep! That's 20% if you dtd at the perfect time too! It took me 8 months to get pregnant both times I've been pregnant.
