I'm just wondering if there are any "middle time" people out there. Just finished an unsuccessful cycle 7 TTC baby number 1 (both of us 30) and although I know 90% of couples conceive within a year you only ever seem to hear the under 6 months or 18months + people. At the moment I'm finding the idea that it might take another year (if at all) heartbreaking. Has anyone out there conceived between 7 and 12 months of trying?! Looking for some hope 🤞

Hey! This is definitely me. I'm currently in cycle 7 - waiting to ovulate...CD20 and not even a whiff of an OPK peak! I'm 29 and my husband is about to turn 35. We were literally just talking today how we feel 'in the middle'! Like you, I can't imagine another year of this - trying not to even think of it as a possibility!

SareBear87 · 02/06/2021 16:06

We are a middle couple too (I'm 33, DP 46)... We are on c7 cd2...

I'm the same as you, the idea of having to do at least another 6 cycles before a GP will do anything is heartbreaking!

PatchworkBlanket · 02/06/2021 16:08

Hello, baby number one for us took ten months, baby number two was literally the first time trying and now we are TTC baby number three and it's been 10 months.

choccrumpet · 02/06/2021 17:34

We are currently in month 11 off ttc our first. I'm 28, partner is 33. We've definitely passed the middle and are near the 1 yr mark which is a bit scary! But staying hopeful and positive 🤗

Loops01 · 02/06/2021 18:22

Sorry I'm going onto cycle 11 (both 31) and not even a slight positive but no explanation of what's not working. Just try to keep going and ask gp for blood tests and seminal analysis meantime!

Peach01 · 02/06/2021 21:39

Yes I did. Month 7, short cycles so maybe 8 or 9 cycles.

tryingforbabyh · 06/11/2021 19:41

Is anyone still around? TTC for a year and still nothing despite all the basic tests being normal :-(

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/11/2021 00:09

@tryingforbabyh there is another active thread for plus 9 months on the board rn. Might be better?

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/11/2021 00:11

@Peach01 @Loops01 @positivepantson and anyone else - did you get your BFPs yet? I’m currently on cycle 7 and feeling a bit like giving up. It feels like a lifetime already!!

We are 32/34 both healthy BMI, eat well, active etc….

Loops01 · 07/11/2021 00:54

@FlyOnTheWall89 nope. Starting cycle 16 tomorrow. Nothing. Diagnosed unexplained infertility and need to wait another 9 months until we go on the ivf wait lost which is about 6-8 months after that. I've stopped 'trying'. What's the point - doesn't work and really affects my mental health since I'm surrounded by pregnant folk now! Good luck.

crazymuseummum · 07/11/2021 06:50

Our DS1 took nine months to catch. I really was starting to think it would never happen or there was something wrong. I was 35 (36 when I eventually had him), so lovely GP was willing to start sending me for blood tests after 7-8 months of trying rather than waiting for 12 months or longer. It was lovely being able to tell her I didn't need the next set of tests!

JUST got pregnant on my 7th cycle! I'm 30 x - although, I did request letrozole to boost my ovulation as I my cycles are 33 days. Not sure if that made a difference or not but I fell pregnant on my first letrozole cycle! 7 weeks tomorrow xx

Oh - are you using clear blue advance digital ovulation sticks? You must! And have sex every day during your fertile window if you can. x
