Hello

I have been trying for 5 years for my second child. I had maround 4 chemical pregnancies and more than 7 miscarriages.
We ended up going for IVF which failed and now I have recently gone through treatment using an egg donor.
After our first frozen egg transfer we got a positive test. My problem is that on 19th May the test showed 2-3 and it STILL shows 2-3 some 13 days later. Even with hormones only doubling every 3 days it should still have hit 2-3 by now. i dont see any way that it can be working out.

I am absolutely devastated that this all seems to be going the same way again. I suppose I was just looking for some support

xX

Have you had bloods done?

What time of day did u take both digitals?

mrsb06 · 01/06/2021 20:58

Firstly, I'm so sorry to hear you've been through a lot on your journey.

For what it's worth, the clear blue never hit 3+ weeks for me - always just stayed at 2-3. You can drive yourself mad with testing. Try, if you can, to take a step back from it and find peace in that what will be, will be.

The constant testing doesn't provide reassurance, really. It just makes us overthink it all and it's really not worth it.

I hope it all works out for you.

No bloods. Because of Covid 19 the gp is so busy I can’t get bloods done til next week, my clinic is 300 miles away so they haven’t done bloods either. I feel quite abandoned ! Though it’s nobody’s fault I did them in the morning with fmu x

Thank you.
You never hit 3+ and still had a healthy pregnancy? Did you just decide to stop testing at a certain number of weeks? X
Thanks

Yes, two healthy pregnancies.

I just put a stop to it as I was driving myself mad with worrying! It only provides reassurance for the millisecond after you've taken it, and then cycle of wondering if the pregnancy will stick starts all over again.

That said, I do appreciate you've been through an awful lot and so I appreciate your heightened anxiety. I do hope it works out for you.

Emidemi · 02/06/2021 10:22

Congrats, so glad it worked out for you,
How many weeks were you still showing 2-3?
Thanks for your well wishes x

FWIW I've heard of quite a few ladies getting stuck at 2-3 and still having healthy pregnancies. The CB digitals are basically not all that accurate!

mrsb06 · 02/06/2021 20:12

@Emidemi probably 6ish weeks? As I said, it never went to 3+, just stuck at 2-3. Same with the Clearblue ovulation tests - I never got a flashing smiley face, despite obviously ovulating!

Hey thanks for your reply.
I went to the EPU today and they’ve confirmed I’ve a pregnancy of unknown location. Presumed ectopic so I’m back on Friday. Levels were only 1200.

So sorry to hear that. Don't give up hope. Remember that in the future, 2-3 weeks doesn't necessarily mean bad news.

toadstool32 · 02/06/2021 20:46

With levels of 1200 they should be able to see the pregnancy on the scan by now. I'm hoping for 2400+ for you at next result

Emidemi · 02/06/2021 21:03

They can’t see it and I’m 6 weeks that’s why they know it’s an ectopic.
