Irregular periods- feeling the frustration

My boyfriend and I have been TTC for 4 months now. We had a miscarriage in March and are still trying.

I have irregular periods so knowing when to test is a nightmare- for example today I took a Clear blue early detect (cd31) and the line on it was the faintest thing. Like I couldn't even get a very good picture of it as it's so faint. Which means I have to test again tomorrow with fmu as I'm not sure wether it's my imagination or actually there.

The frustration is killing me because if I had regular periods I might know when to test and probably wouldn't spend so much a month testing as I'd know what cd to test)

Anyone else feeling frustration? Any advice?

I'm still not sure if I have a bfp or bfn at this point.

Honestly I think the only way you can avoid disappointment and creating a big dent in your bank account is by basing your testing off your longest cycle. So for example if in the last year your longest has been 45 days, don’t test before the 45th day of a cycle. That way if you get a negative then, you’re more likely to trust it

I hadn't thought of that thank you! My longest cycle this year has been 37 days so I will test then! Thank you
